Poll: The
presidential race is tight in Pennsylvania
Two
percentage points separate President Obama and Republican nominee Mitt Romney
in a state poll conducted for the Tribune-Review, even though the campaigns
largely are ignoring Pennsylvania and concentrating on other battlegrounds. Obama polled 47 percent to Romney's 45
percent among likely Pennsylvania voters, with 6 percent of voters
undecided and 44 days until Election Day, according to the survey by
Susquehanna Polling & Research. The survey of 800 voters, conducted Sept.
18-20, has a margin of error of 3.46 percentage points. The poll showed most
voters are disappointed with the country’s direction, evenly split on whether
Obama deserves another term and hesitant to back Romney, the former governor of
Massachusetts. Fifty-one percent of the state’s voters approve of Obama’s job
performance.

Move to Give Egypt $450 Million in Aid Meets Resistance By
STEVEN LEE MYERS
The
Obama administration notified Congress on Friday that it would provide Egypt’s
new government an emergency cash infusion of $450 million, but the aid
immediately encountered resistance from
a prominent lawmaker wary of foreign aid and Egypt’s new course under the
leadership of the Muslim Brotherhood.

MSNBC Scandal? Blaze Readers at Campaign Event Claim Network Misled in Video of
Rally Chant (With Audio Comparison)
On
Wednesday, MSNBC aired a clip of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney
leading what looks like a failed “Romney-Ryan” chant at a campaign stop in Ohio
on Tuesday, prompting an embarrassed Joe Scarborough to mutter “Oh, sweet
Jesus” and a purse-lipped Mika Brzezinski to ask “What’s wrong with those
people?” You can see our coverage of Scarborough’s outburst here, but we’ve included the clip as a refresher: One day
later, while continuing the conversation on how Rep.
Paul Ryan overshadows the former Massachusetts governor, MSNBC host Martin
Bashir played the same clip (minus the graphic). Although the clip
Bashir aired differs slightly from the one aired during “Morning Joe,” the
message was the same. But now things are getting interesting. If you listen
closely, it’s obvious the audio in the clip has been adjusted. However, that’s
not uncommon — and that doesn‘t necessarily mean it’s MSNBC who did it. Sound
technicians usually cut out the audience to ensure speakers aren’t drowned out
(which you can do by simply turning the mics up and down — or you can do after
the fact). However, where the
controversy comes in is in the caption on the screen quoting the audience as
chanting “Ryan!” Why is that controversial? Because people who attended the
event say that’s not what happened, and that the MSNBC video grossly
misrepresents what actually occurred. Watch
the truth here

Santorum:
Obama Won't Prevent Iran From Going Nuclear By:
Todd Beamon and Kathleen Walter
President
Barack Obama won’t stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons, former Republican
presidential candidate Rick Santorum charged in an exclusive interview with
Newsmax.TV. “This is the real big
problem with President Obama,” the former Pennsylvania senator tells Newsmax.
“He says he doesn’t want Iran to have a nuclear weapon, but he’s been very
clear that he is not going to authorize any type of actions on the United
States that will have any detrimental impact to civilians in Iran. “Well, you can’t stop Iran from developing a
nuclear weapon unless you take away their capability of doing so — and to do
that requires taking down their electric grid, taking other things that would
stop their development of this technology, which would have at least some
impact on civilians. “The
president’s been very clear and his positions don’t jibe,” Santorum concluded.
“You can’t say I want to stop Iran and then say I won’t do anything policy-wise
that will stop Iran, and that’s why Benjamin Netanyahu has said what he said: that we have to have policies that draw a
red line and this president is refusing to do it.

Obama
begs defense contractors not to issue pre-election layoff notices or more
likely Chicago Style Threats
The
Obama administration issued new guidance intended for defense contractors
Friday afternoon, reiterating the administration’s position that the companies
should not be issuing layoff notices over sequestration. The Labor Department
issued guidance in July saying it would be “inappropriate” for contractors to
issue notices of potential layoffs tied to sequestration cuts. But a few contractors, most notably
Lockheed Martin, said they still were considering whether to issue the notices
— which would be sent out just days before the November election. But the
Friday guidance from the Office of Management and Budget raised the stakes in
the dispute, telling contractors that they would be compensated for legal costs
if layoffs occur due to contract cancellations under sequestration — but
only if the contractors follow the Labor guidance.
DEMOCRATS:
INVESTIGATE BENGHAZI ATTACK AFTER THE ELECTION
Don’t be fooled by the supposedly bipartisan effort
to investigate the Obama administration’s actions after the attack on the U.S.
Consulate in Libya. Democrats are no more serious about challenging their
leader in the White House than they have ever been. Trying
to pass off his actions as part of a bipartisan effort at investigation, Senate
Foreign Relations Committee Chairman John Kerry (D-Mass.) started circulating a
letter that his aides said would be asking for more information. here’s the salient point, and how the
Democrats are duping the public into thinking that they truly want an
investigation: Kerry and his pals’
letter to Thomas Nides, deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources,
is asking for more information and a full briefing after the Senate returns
in November. That’s right. After the
election.

‘Obama
and the Threat to Israel’: See the ‘Absolutely Uncertain’ Video That’s Gotten
650K Hits in Three Days
A
roughly 20-minute YouTube video analyzing President Obama’s relationship with
Israel, narrated by a 23-year-old former Obama supporter, has gone viral.
In just three days, the little-reported on video “Absolutely Uncertain” has
logged roughly 650,000 hits. Irina, the 23-year-old “Jewish New Yorker” who
narrates much of the documentary, explains that she has always seen
American-Israeli relations as a cornerstone of American politics, reaching into
both parties. “So when it was time for me to vote for the first time in 2008, I
didn’t doubt for a moment that the strong relationship would continue, no
matter who won,” she states. Adding that many of her fellow students also had
“confidence” in President Obama, Irina explains that the more she learns about
politics and the Middle East, the more she
doubts President Obama‘s ready commitments to Israel’s security. “I don’t know
how many people realize this, but today, Israelis are lining up for gas masks
and cleaning out their bomb shelters,” Irina begins. On Obama’s promises
that Iran will be stopped and the Middle East is becoming more “democratic,” the young woman simply says: “I’m not sure
I believe it anymore.” Click

These
are the Top 5 Worst Taxes ‘Obamacare’ Will Impose in 2013 by Becket Adams
1. The ‘Obamacare’ Medical Device Tax Tax Increase: $20 Billion Medical
device manufacturers employ 409,000 people in 12,000 plants across the country.
Obamacare imposes a new 2.3 percent excise tax on gross sales
2. The ‘Obamacare’ ‘Special Needs Kids Tax’ Tax Increase: $13
Billion The 30-35 million American who
use a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) at work to pay for their family’s basic
medical needs will face a new government cap of $2,500 (currently the accounts
are unlimited under federal law, though employers are allowed to set a cap).
There is one group of FSA owners for whom this new cap will be
particularly cruel and onerous: parents of special needs children.
3. The ‘Obamacare’ Surtax on Investment Income. Tax Increase: $123
Billion This is a new, 3.8 percentage
point surtax on investment income earned in households making at least $250,000
($200,000 single).
4. The ‘Obamacare’ ‘Haircut’ for Medical Itemized Deductions Tax
Increase: $15.2 Billion Currently, those
Americans facing high medical expenses are allowed a deduction to the extent
that those expenses exceed 7.5 percent of adjusted gross income (AGI).
This tax increase imposes a threshold of 10 percent of AGI. By limiting this
deduction, Obamacare widens the net of taxable income for the sickest
Americans. This tax provision will most harm near retirees and those with
modest incomes but high medical bills.
5. The ‘Obamacare’ Medicare Payroll Tax Hike; Tax Increase: $86.8 Billion
The Medicare payroll tax is currently 2.9 percent on all wages and
self-employment profits. Under this tax hike, wages and profits exceeding
$200,000 ($250,000 in the case of married couples) will face a 3.8 percent rate
instead. This is a direct marginal income tax hike on small business owners,
who are liable for self-employment tax in most cases.

23%
Believe Today's Children Will Be Better Off Than Their Parents
The good news is that the number of Americans who
believe today’s children will be better off than their parents is at its
highest level of 2012. The bad news is that three-out-of-four Americans
don't agree or aren't sure. A new
Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of American Adults shows that 23%
believe today’s children will be better off than their parents. Fifty-nine
percent (59%) disagree, and 18% are undecided.

Obama
Administration Caught Deleting State Dept. Memo After Benghazi Attack
Yesterday there were reports that the Obama Administration
found out that Al-Qaeda was behind the Benghazi consulate attacks within 24
hours of the assault that killed four Americans. So what was their first
action? Did they secure the compound? – No, that took over a week to get
FBI agents to the consulate Did they acknowledge it was an Al-Qaeda attack?
No, Obama this week blamed the terror attack on a YouTube protest. Here’s what
they did – They scrubbed a damning State Department memo from the internet– On
Wednesday September 12, 2012 blogger Speak With Authority discovered that five
days before 9-11, the US State Department sent out a memo announcing no
credible security threats against the United States on the anniversary of 9-11.
The Overseas Security Advisory Council, who posted the memo, is part of the
Bureau of Diplomatic Security under the U.S. Department of State. Here is a
"screengrab" of the memo at the OSAC website:
