AMERICA 'S HUNTERS

AMERICA 'S HUNTERS  
 
A blogger recently added up the deer license sales in just a handful of states and arrived at a striking conclusion (remember these are ONLY deer liscences):
 
There were over 600,000 hunters this season in the state of Wisconsin ..
Allow me to restate that number: 600,000!


Over the last several months, Wisconsin 's hunters became the eighth largest army in the world.

 That’s more men under arms than in Iran . More than France and Germany combined.
These men, deployed to the woods of a single American state, Wisconsin, to hunt with firearms, and NO ONE WAS KILLED.

 
That number pales in comparison to the 750,000 who hunted the woods of Pennsylvania and Michigan 's 700,000 hunters.  Toss in a quarter million hunters in West Virginia and it literally establishes the fact that the hunters of those four states alone would comprise the largest army in the world. And then add in the total number of hunters in the other 46 states. It's millions more.
 
The point?
America will forever be safe from foreign invasion with that kind of home-grown firepower!
  Hunting... it's not just a way to fill the freezer.

It's a matter of national security.
That's why all enemies, foreign and domestic, want to see us disarmed. Food for thought, when next we consider gun control. Overall it's true, so if we disregard some assumptions that hunters don't possess the same skills as soldiers, the question would still remain... 

What army of 2 million would want to face 30 million, 40 million, or 50 million armed citizens???  For the sake of our freedom, don't ever allow gun control or confiscation of guns.

If you’re a conservative, you don't need to silence the opposition.
In fact, we conservatives want liberals to talk, to make buffoons of themselves, to prove their folly. We want liberals to expound upon their ridiculous ideas, to show the world exactly what they're about. Nancy Pelosi? Give that tiresome woman a microphone. Chatty liberals are the best advertisement for conservatism.
But liberals just can’t have conservatives speaking. We’ll tell the truth, and that’s why liberals need to shut us up.

Their traditional intimidation tactics are wearing out. Calling someone a “racist” used to be a devastating moral indictment. Liberals’ promiscuous employment of the word first turned it into a cliché and then into an ironic punch line.

I know, saying that out loud is racist. And sexist. And cisgender heteronormative, whatever the hell that means.
So now liberals have stepped up to formal governmental repression. Take the IRS scandal – or ex-scandal, in the eyes of the mainstream media. The Obama administration, at the urging of red state Democrat senators who are about to lose their seats because of their track records of failure, are doing everything they can to turn the taxman loose on the organizations that are pointing out their track records of failure.
Sure, the liberals come up with excuses, with justifications, with rationales for this prima facie oppression. But understand that the left was never against political repression. The left is only against being repressed itself.

It’s open season on everyone else. Don't dare bow down to god whose name isn’t spelled "G – O – V – E – R – N – M – E – N – T." Today’s heretic hunters work for Kathleen Sebelius, ready to burn you at the stake for expecting grown men and women to come up with the dough for their own contraceptives. No one expects the HHS Inquisition!

The Federal Communications Commission just floated a trial balloon about going out to radio and television stations to evaluate reporters on how they cover the news. There was a time when journalists' response to a government inquiry into how they did their job would be "Go to hell, you goose-stepping bureaucratic flunky."

Not anymore. Now, their response is slavish submission to their progressive governmental dominatrix. When supposedly independent, iconoclastic liberal journalists let themselves to be dominated by the feds, their safe word is “Hillary.”

Liberalism has to muzzle the truth because it operates on lies. It is built on lies, fueled by lies, and creates an empire of lies.

Two little words. With these two words, two concepts were verbalized that have lived for nearly two and a half Millennia. They signify and characterize both the heart of the Warrior, and the indomitable spirit of mankind. From the ancient Greek, they are the reply of the Spartan General-King Leonidas to Xerxes, the Persian Emperor who came with 600,000 of the fiercest fighting troops in the world to conquer and invade little Greece, then the center and birthplace of civilization as we know it. When Xerxes offered to spare the lives of Leonidas, his 300 personal bodyguards and a handful of Thebans and others who volunteered to defend their country, if they would lay down their arms, Leonidas shouted these two words back.

They mean, “Come and get them!” They live on today as the most notable quote in military history. And so began the classic example of courage and valor in its dismissal of overwhelming superiority of numbers, wherein the heart and spirit of brave men overcame insuperable odds. Today, there lies a plaque dedicated to these heroes all at the site. It reads: “Go tell the Spartans, travelers passing by, that here, obedient to their laws we lie.”

We have adopted this defiant utterance as a battle cry in our war against oppression because it says so clearly and simply towards those who would take our arms.

It signifies our determination to not strike the first blow, but also to not stand mute and allow our loved ones, and all that we believe in and stand for, to be trampled by men who would deprive us of our God-given – or natural, if you will – rights to suit their own ends.

Federal Judge Confuses Declaration with Constitution and Much More

What's becoming an epidemic of immoral fiat, a federal judge struck down Virginia's ban on same-sex marriage and got her Constitution and Declaration of Independence mixed up at the same time. The big story is that she made a huge historical mistake and not that she ruled against the Virginia constitution, the will of the people, history, and the law of God. No big deal.

It’s not so confusing that she was confused since she's just as confused about what sexual organ goes where. It’s a telling self-indictment of morality, logic, reason, and biology.

In her ruling, Arenda Wright Allen of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, wrote in her original opinion, “Our Constitution declares that ‘all men’ are created equal. Surely this means all of us.” Of course, it’s the Declaration of Independence not the Constitution that includes the phrase “all men are created equal.” I doubt that those who signed the Declaration of Independence had same-sex marriage in view. Historical accuracy and historical context are important in these matters, More about this below.

When the obvious error had been pointed out to her, Allen issued a second draft: “Our Declaration of Independence recognizes that ‘all men’ are created equal.” Again, what this has to do with homosexual marriage is beyond me.

South Texas College of Law professor Josh Blackman pointed out that the words “all men” are included in the Virginia Constitution: “all men are by nature equally free and independent and have certain inherent rights.”
The question remains, is same-sex marriages an “inherent right,” and how do we know? Let’s go back to the Declaration, which states:
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
Notice the use of the designation “Creator.” Judge Arenda Wright Allen used the word “created.” Something created requires a Creator. The Preamble to the Declaration is based on the “Laws of Nature and of Nature's God.”

These rulings by judicial and moral fiat are the very things our founders rebelled against. They noted that the Creator who gave us certain “unalienable Rights” is the “Supreme Judge of the world.”

But even if the judge got her documents right, there is no way that those who signed the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution had same-sex sex in mind.
For example, consider Thomas Jefferson, the main author of the Declaration of Independence:
The following is from A Patriot’s History of the United States by Larry Schweikart and Michael Allen:
“[Thomas] Jefferson wrote the Virginia Sabbath law, as well as ordinances sanctioning public days of prayer and fasting and even incorporated some of the Levitical code into the state’s marriage laws.” (97).[1]
In addition, “A Bill for Proportioning Crimes and Punishment in Cases Heretofore Capital,” one of 126 Bills submitted to the Virginia Assembly in 1779 (three years after the Declaration of Independence was drafted and signed) by the Committee of Revisors, states the following:
“Whosoever shall be guilty of Rape, Polygamy, or Sodomy with man or woman shall be punished, if a man, by castration, if a woman, by cutting thro’ the cartilage of her nose a hole of one-half diameter at the least. (Bill 64)
The committee was headed by Thomas Jefferson. The members worked two years revising the colonial laws as Virginia was no longer obligated to follow the laws of England.

Then there’s George Washington. At a General Court Marshall, on March 10, 1778, a Lieutenant Enslin was “tried for attempting to commit sodomy with John Monhort.” He was also tried for “Perjury in swearing to false Accounts.” Enslin was “found guilty of the charges exhibited against him, being breaches of 5th. Article 18th. Section of the Articles of War.”
He was dismissed from the service “with infamy. His Excellency the Commander in Chief [George Washington] approve[d] the sentence and with Abhorrence and Detestation of such infamous Crimes order[ed] Lieutt. Enslin to be drummed out of the Camp . . . by all the Drummers and Fifers in the Army never to return.”[2]
Let me be clear. These historical references ultimately do not matter. Today’s courts no longer have a moral reference point. There are a few justices — Scalia, Thomas, and maybe Alito — who believe in the long legal tradition of Natural Law. But they are a diminishing minority.
