Gun Owners Boycott a Huge Outdoors Show. Show Shuts Down. Written by Gary North

The good guys have won a big one. The annual Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show normally attracts 200,000 visitors. It earns money from 1,000 exhibitors. Last week the  British firm that owns it decided to ban all visible references to assault weapons, so called. No sales, no advertising, nothing. A boycott began. The NRA canceled. Then hundreds of exhibitors canceled. There were lots of stories about the boycott, as you can see here. The politically correct Brits who thought they would jump on the gun control bandwagon have announced that there will be no show . No show, indeed!

Inaugural Address 2013: Obama’s Open Contradictions By Allan Erickson

We Americans want to trust and respect our leaders. We prefer looking up to them. It is difficult to do so, even impossible, when they take us for fools.  If you pay attention and think for yourself, and if you read the inaugural speech delivered Monday, not knowing who delivered it, you might be surprised to learn these words were delivered by Barack Obama, with his full expectation you’ll swallow them without question.

On a day we honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., a Republican patriot, and in a year we remember Lincoln and the 150th anniversary of the issuance of the Emancipation Proclamation, it is beyond startling listening to Obama’s words and comparing them to his actions these past four years.  His first sentence contains the first of many outright deceptions. He speaks of the “enduring strength of our Constitution.” Here is a man who disregards, violates or works around the Constitution whenever it conflicts with his agenda. He has systematically weakened the very document he swears to protect and defend, thus injuring the country he proposes to save. Read more:

Jindal: ‘America is Not the Federal Government’

"Thank you all for having me here tonight. And thank you Reince for the outstanding leadership you provide to the Republican Party. And I want to thank our great RNC members from Louisiana, Chairman Roger Villere, National Committeewoman Lenar Whitney, and National Committeeman Ross Little for all of their hard work. Let me warn you in advance that I plan to talk big picture here tonight, and I plan to say some things that may challenge your assumptions. You may not agree with all of it, but that’s ok, ours is a party that can handle real discussions. And now, after losing two Presidential elections in a row, is certainly the time for some candid discussion. The first concept I want to talk about is simply this – America is not the federal government. Take a minute to let that thought sink in. America is not the federal government. In fact, America is not much about government at all. In America, government is one of those things you have to have, but you sure don’t want too much of it…kind of like your in-laws. This is of course the polar opposite of the political debate in our country today. At present we have one party that wants to be in charge of the federal government so they can expand it, and one party that wants to be in charge of the federal government so they can get it under control. It’s a terrible debate, it’s a debate fought entirely on our opponents’ terms. A debate about which party can better manage the federal government is a very small and shortsighted debate. If our vision is not bigger than that, we do not deserve to win. In our public discourse today, America is pretty much defined by government, by the latest moves that occur in Washington. If you landed from outer space…and read the news…and watched TV for a week…you would have to conclude that Washington is the hub of America and that what happens in Washington is what drives and dictates the success or failure of America." Media Ignore Hillary’s Bombshell Benghazi Claim

During the Senate hearing on Benghazi yesterday, outgoing Secretary of State Hillary Clinton claimed she did not know whether the U.S. special mission attacked on Sept. 11 was involved in gun-running. The remarks were perhaps the most important and telling of the entire hearing since they address a possible motive behind the jihadist attacks. Yet Clinton’s answers were largely unreported by U.S. news media. The exchange on the subject took place with Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky. Paul asked Clinton: “Is the U. S. involved with any procuring of weapons, transfer of weapons, buying, selling, anyhow transferring weapons to Turkey out of Libya? “To Turkey?” Clinton asked. “I will have to take that question for the record. Nobody has ever raised that with me.” Continued Paul: “It’s been in news reports that ships have been leaving from Libya and that may have weapons, and what I’d like to know is the annex that was close by, were they involved with procuring, buying, selling, obtaining weapons, and were any of these weapons being transferred to other countries, any countries, Turkey included?”  Clinton replied, “Well, senator, you’ll have to direct that question to the agency that ran the annex. I will see what information is available.” “You’re saying you don’t know?” asked Paul. “I do not know,” Clinton said. “I don’t have any information on that.”

Yesterday, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton answered questions before committees in both the House and Senate regarding the horrific terrorist attack that killed a U.S. Ambassador and heroic SEALs in Libya.  The problem is that Secretary Clinton actually answered nothing. When asked a pointed question about why the administration failed to identify it was a terrorist attack --and subsequently lied about it -- Clinton shouted: "What difference, at this point, does it make?" Here's the difference it makes -- no one has been held accountable and no one can explain why the American public was deceived for weeks about the cause of the attack! The Obama Administration still has not told the truth about what happened in Benghazi and Secretary Clinton continues to avoid revealing who knew what, who refused to help, and why the administration repeatedly lied to the American people

Obama’s Executive Order Takes Your Tax Dollars & Uses Them For Gun Control Propaganda by Tim Brown

In Barack Obama’s 23 executive orders last week, one that is extremely significant is the study he ordered the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to begin regarding the causes of gun violence and how to reduce it. Gun violence is not a disease. It is not a public health issue, but with his Presidential memorandum, Obama has made it that, which was nothing more than a sneaky assault on congressional authority so that he can then take taxpayer money to fund his gun control propaganda. “While year after year, those who oppose even modest gun-safety measures have threatened to defund scientific or medical research into the causes of gun violence, I will direct the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to go ahead and study the best ways to reduce it,” said Mr. Obama.

Coroner Confirms: No Assault Weapon Used in Sandy Hook Shooting

An AR-15, or the so-called “Assault Weapon”, was not used in the school shooting. The shooter even tried weeks earlier to buy a rifle but was turned down in the background check. So he had to kill his Mother to steal her rifle. There were initial reports, right after the shooting, that police found the AR-15 in his car, NOT IN THE SCHOOL. The rifle was not used. The shooter went into the school with 4 handguns, NOT an Assault Rifle as the media has charged. In the initial hours of this shooting, the Police said they found the rifle in the car. But the Administration-controlled MSM had a pre-planned attack already waiting, to ban so-called assault weapons and jumped on that line of reporting, knowing it was a lie, which included people like Piers Morgan who said the shooter used an AR-15 that shoots hundreds of rounds per minute, as if it were a machine gun. video.msnbc.msn.com/nbcnews.com/50208642

Obama Officially Arms Radical Islamists by John DeMayo

A couple of weeks back, I wrote a piece about the United States shipping F-16’s and Abrams tanks to Egypt as part of a “foreign aid” package (see “Obama to Arm Muslim Brotherhood, But You Can’t Own An AR?”). Many liberal readers questioned the credibility of my claim that President Obama’s State Department intended to supply the Egyptian leadership—aka The Muslim Brotherhood—with our latest military technology. As predicted, the shipment was announced on the Friday of Inauguration weekend and according to reports arrived in Cairo this past Monday; so much for our ongoing war on terror. While our economy continues to hemorrhage and our government continues to borrow to pay our bills, liberals all over the country should feel a deep sense of pride; pride in knowing that your vote for Barack Hussein Obama was a vote to empower and arm our terrorist adversaries. By the way, these adversaries to which I refer don’t support liberal morality, gay anything, women’s rights, abortion and free birth control. They are simple people with a few simple causes: The destruction of Israel, the fall of the United States and an Islamic caliphate. While the Obama Administration ignores the drowning U.S. economy/unemployment, attempts to strong arm federal weapons bans and arrogantly ramps up efforts for a renewed vote on the controversial United Nations Arms Treaty, our national debt was recently increased to arm our Islamist enemy in Egypt. According to the State Department, Egypt has always been an important part of our Middle Eastern security apparatus and the recent arms shipment was just a continuation of thirty years of dedication to Egypt’s Democratic rule. This is the very same alleged security partner that now supports terrorist groups like Hamas and Hezbollah, is reaching out to strengthen its bond with Tehran and is fighting U.S. efforts to enforce a decades old Israel/Egypt peace treaty. It bears mentioning that for the last thirty years, Egypt had a U.S./Israel friendly government. Former President Mubarak (although corrupt and cruel) required our weaponry to protect his country against its overthrow, not by Israel, but by the very same terrorists—i.e. sitting President Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood—who are now in charge of Egypt’s  Sharia based Democratic regime. And President Obama gives them jets and tanks to celebrate his Inauguration? Shouldn’t this be throwing up red flags for our National Security Community? Clearly, our President is shipping arms to our terrorist enemies. Is nothing against the law in the United States anymore? Shouldn’t someone be asking if President Obama has violated the Patriot Act? Wouldn’t this classify as giving aid and comfort to our terrorist enemy? Terrorist (noun) somebody who uses violence, especially bombing, kidnapping, and assassination, to intimidate others, often for political purposes.
