England’s Crime Rate Nearly Four Times Higher than United
States by
Gary DeMar
I’ll give Piers
Morgan credit for one thing: He’s not afraid to interview people who have
strong disagreements with him. He’s giving them a platform for views that
rarely see the light of day on liberal networks.
He had Alex Jones
of InfoWars on a few nights ago. While Jones was a little over the top, he
didn’t roll over for Morgan. Too many conservatives want to be friends with the
media as if their agreeable style will somehow endear them to the liberal media
establishment. It will never, never, never happen. Morgan also had Larry Pratt
of Gun Owners of America on. Don’t mess with Larry Pratt. He comes to
interviews prepared, and he’s a lot more measured and calm than Jones. In his
December 19, 2012 interview, Pratt had
said that “evil’s in our hearts. Not in the guns.” That’s probably the
first time the secularist Morgan ever heard that before. Of course, it’s true. Good people, or at least people who work
hard to say no to evil thoughts and desires, do not murder people. When some
usually good person “snaps,” the snapping is the evil in them (James 1:13–15;
Mark 7:14–15). The vast majority of people in England do not own guns. Guns
are heavily restricted. Morgan sees this
as one of the reasons crime is low in England. At least that’s what he’s been
trying to pass off to his low-information viewers . . . until Larry Pratt
showed up for round two.
“The total number of violent offences recorded compared to population is higher than any other country in Europe, as well as America, Canada, Australia and South Africa.
“The UK had a
greater number of murders in 2007 than any other EU country — 927 — and at a
relative rate higher than most western European neighbours, including France,
Germany, Italy and Spain.
It gets worse.
“Overall, 5.4 million crimes were recorded in the UK in 2007 — more than 10 a
minute — second only to Sweden. . . . It means there are over 2,000 crimes recorded per 100,000
population in the UK, making it the most violent place in Europe.” Great Britain’s crime rate is nearly four
times that of the United States. “By comparison, America has an estimated rate
of 466 violent crimes per 100,000 population.”

American
Socialism Working – The 100 Year Plan by Dave
Jolly
Around 1900,
progressive socialists laid out a plan to convert America into a socialist
nation. There were three key
factors that they knew they had to overcome and they also knew that it would take at least 100 years slowly
overcome them.
First, America was a strong Christian nation and no
Christian nation could ever accept socialistic ideas or forms of
government. That meant they had to actively work
on undermining the strong Christian influence in the American people.
Part of that plan was to infiltrate churches across the nation with
progressives in Christian clothes. Their missions were to subtly question
Christian doctrine and place doubts in the minds of the people. Were the
miracles of Christ real or were they just embellishments to make him into
something he wasn’t? Was Christ really born of a virgin or did Mary have
sex with Joseph before their wedding and covered it up with the story of the
angel’s visit? Is homosexuality really wrong? Was the Bible really
God’s Word or just a compilation of writings of a number of people? The
Bible is such an ancient book, is it really relevant to today’s society? Just as Satan did in the Garden of Eden,
progressives began planting seeds of doubt in the churches over 100 years ago
and look at how liberal the Christian church in America has become. We
allow women pastors, gay clergy, divorce rates for Christians are no different
than the secular world, Christians are living together and having sex before
marriage and hardly anyone believes in absolute truth any more. Some of the
latest polls indicate that perhaps fewer than half of all Americans claim to be
church going Christians. Goal number one has almost been realized!
Second, they also knew they had to destroy the strength
of the family unit. The bond between husband and wife and their kids was
strong. It was the center of moral and values teaching.
Many of the same tactics used to weaken the Christian influence also
worked to weaken the family. They
introduced the ideas of divorce made easy instead of working out the
problems or turning to Scripture. They
taught situation ethics in schools where kids learned to blame their parents
for all of their problems and then resent them for it. In the 1960s
and 70s, the openness of sexual
promiscuity flooded the families. Adultery and pre-marital sex permeated
through the Church like yeast in a batch of dough. The socialists infiltrated the public
schools early on and began changing what was being taught. Today, kids aren’t taught anything about family
values. Instead, they are being taught how to subvert the authority of their
parents and do their own thing. Planned Parenthood even teaches teenage
girls how to get an abortion and work around parental notification laws. Fathers are made out to be stupid idiots or
they left home years ago. Mothers are single, working and trying
to cope. Often, it’s the kids who are made to look smart and in control
and only letting their parents know what they want them to know.
Then you have the
same-sex issue that completely destroys traditional family values. Goal
number 2 has been accomplished.
Third, the progressive socialists knew that they had to
make the people dependent upon the government for their very existence and
livelihood. Instead of turning to the church or
family for help in times of need, people have to turn to the government. The government becomes their savior and
benefactor and before they realize it, the government becomes their master and
they become slaves.
Did you know that
the vast majority of welfare and assistance programs, including Social
Security, were implemented by Democrats?
Oh yeah, in case you didn’t realize it, the progressive liberals around 1900
were also Democrats and made the decision then to use the Democratic Party to
accomplish their takeover of America. Under Barack
Obama, the most openly socialistic president the nation has ever had (FDR and
LBJ are numbers 2 and 3). Under Obama, a record number of Americans have
gone on welfare, disability and food stamps. A recently released report
by the USDA, revealed that just over 1 in 4 children are on food stamps.
Oops, my bad! The US Census estimates that there are about
73.9 million children, 18 and younger, living in the US. The USDA report says that 19.9 million of
those children are part of SNAP. That’s 26.9% or just over 1 in 4
kids that are already being raised to be dependent on the government. Many will learn that they stand to lose their
SNAP and other welfare benefits like Medicaid and other assistance programs, if
they get a job. In order to break even on what they’d lose to what they’d
gain from working, they discover that they have to get a job that pays $4-$6 an
hour more than minimum wage and those jobs are hard to find, especially in
today’s economy.
Therefore, it’s not
worth it to them to get a job because
they’d lose more than they’d gain. It’s easier to just sit back and
ride on Uncle Sam’s dime than to go out and earn their own nickel.
Goal
number three is almost there and America is on the verge of disappearing
forever. The progressives started working on this over 110 year ago. They said it would
take at least 100 years to accomplish. Seems they were pretty close to be
being right on. And if the next
four years of Obama are anything like the last four, all three goals will be
realized before the next election in 2016, if there
is one.

Eric Holder: Gun Owners Should ‘Cower’ in Shame Like
Smokers
The hot new video
at MRCTV.org is 1995 footage of Attorney General Eric Holder, when he was the
U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia. In his remarks before the Woman’s
National Democratic Club, broadcast by CSPAN 2, Holder said people should be ashamed to own guns, just the way that
cigarette smokes now “cower outside of buildings” to smoke. “What we need to
do is change the way in which people think about guns, especially young people,
and make it something that’s not cool, that it’s not acceptable, it’s not hip
to carry a gun anymore, in the way in which we’ve changed our attitudes about
cigarettes. You know, when I was growing up, people smoked all the time. Both
my parents did. But over time, we changed the way that people thought about
smoking, so now we have people who cower outside of buildings and kind of smoke
in private and don’t want to admit it.” Laughter followed. Da and
this is our Attorney General!

Second Amendment: Do Militias Matter Today?
By Wes Walker
The role of gun
ownership has always been emotionally charged, but Sandy Hook’s news has again
heightened the rhetoric. This debate has spilled over and has become
international. Anti-gun lobbyists
consider the Second Amendment antiquated, asking what militias could protect us
from today. The pro-gun side answers: “Tyrants”, citing King George III,
Hitler’s Germany, or another event so seemingly distant that the argument seems
academic. Even some who want stricter controls might concede the home-defense
argument. But they would never want Joe Public armed with the sorts of guns
carried by soldiers and police. Are militias relevant today?
Do you think it
strange that citizens might be called to grab their gun, and rush to the
defense of their community or region against some threat? Why is it strange?
Small towns do the same thing with volunteer fire departments. Bankers,
plumbers, or gym teachers, all become firemen when there’s a fire raging. You can’t wait for experts to put out the
fire, everybody gets involved. That same principle describes a militia. The
relevant Amendment reads: “A well regulated militia being necessary to the
security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” This week, I
stumbled on a modern, local parallel to this principle. A judge was complaining
about a Provincial police force refusing to administer a court order. Reading
further, I saw the connection. Now, I need to proceed carefully. The example
I’m citing is complex, and explosive. I could not possibly give the nuanced
description that fairness would require. Others can debate who is right and wrong in
the issue itself, I am only presenting a modern example of one effective
application of the principles the Amendment defends. Remember the
taunt, “You and what army?” That’s a defiant reply given when someone tries to
force his will on you. It is also the response to tyranny embedded in the
Second Amendment. A lone man could shoot a prowler in defense of his family.
But this other use requires a group standing together, bearing arms against a
threat — its own government, if need be — in mutual defense.
Today, not every group sees government as benign. For
historical reasons, some doubt their motives and promises, old agreements
remain disputed, and past wrongs color present-day relations.
We have had crises with names like Oka, or Caledonia, in which protesters make
it clear they are prepared to use force to achieve their aims. The Caledonia
case is interesting. In 2006,
protesters from Six Nations disputed the legality of an 1840’s transaction
relating to land now being developed. Protesters camped on the disputed land.
Injunctions were filed, but they didn’t move. Next were roadblocks, burning
tires, injuries to local homeowners — some were life-threatening — and damage
to both public and private property on and around the affected land. The
Provincial government proved itself unwilling and/or unable to protect the
property and safety of private citizens impacted by the dispute. Unable to
resolve the matter, the Province paid tens of millions in damages to the
property owners/developers, millions more to the local businesses and
residents, not to mention payouts to Dana Chatwell and Dave Brown (Google their
story) and others. In 2013, this matter
is still not resolved, yet is largely forgotten by the public. Ethical considerations and treatment of
innocent civilians aside, this tactic
was sufficiently effective that law enforcement did not — could not — force
compliance on Six Nations protesters. Contrast
that to the disorganized, unarmed citizens of Caledonia, including but not
limited to Dave Brown (arrested for “trespassing” on his own land), and “The Caledonia 8” (arrested without charge
for wanting to walk down a street with a protest sign in August 2012). But strictly as a deterrent to the government
use of force, this example of a group willing and able to defend its interests
forced government officials to change their tactics. Locals allege that
government and law enforcement began using “kid gloves” in their dealings with
Six Nations, but not with other Caledonians. Suppose we find ourselves facing a government flagrantly abusing police
powers over its citizens. Which of these groups will sleep soundly at night?
The moral of the story is this: Armed citizens are able to protect their
rights, whether or not their governments acknowledge them.

68% Say Cutting Government Spending Solution To Economic
Problems
Just under half of
U.S. voters fear the federal government will not do enough to help the nation’s
troubled economy, but those voters do
not think more spending is the solution. A new Rasmussen Reports national
telephone survey finds that 48% of Likely Voters say, in reacting to the
nation’s current economic problems, what worries them more is that the federal
government will not do enough. That finding is just below a high of 50%
measured last month. Thirty-nine percent (39%) are afraid the
government will do too much, while 13% are not sure.
~~~~~~
Voters Have Mixed Feelings About
More Money for Schools- The low information voters!
Just 10% of Likely Voters correctly recognize that the United States spends on average about $9,000 per
pupil each year in elementary and high schools. But voters are narrowly divided
when asked if spending more on schools will improve student performance.
Thirty-four percent (34%) think America spends less than $9,000 annually per
pupil, while 16% say it spends more, according to a new Rasmussen Reports
national telephone survey. A whopping 40% won’t even hazard a
guess.
Former Pa. Gov.: The ‘Good Thing’ About Newtown Is That
it Was ‘So Horrific,’ Gun Control Advocates Have Been ‘Galvanized’
by Becket Adams
Former Pennsylvania
Gov. Ed Rendell during a Friday broadcast of MSNBC’s “Now With Alex
Wagner” explained why he thinks it’s a
“good thing” that the shooting spree in Newtown, Conn., that left 26 people
dead, including 20 children, was “so horrific. The good thing about Newtown is,
it was so horrific that I think it galvanized Americans to a point where the
intensity on our side is going to match the intensity on their side,” said
the former mayor, referring to the current debate between gun control advocates
and supporters of the Second Amendment. His remarks were made in response to a
question from host Alex Wagner who argues that “no one, anywhere” wants to
abolish the Second Amendment. “Newtown seemed like an inflection point, if you
will — a change in the national dialogue about sensible gun laws,” said the
MSNBC host. “And yet, the response that we have seen in recent days from
members of the gun-toting – gun-toting enthusiasts and the NRA has been, to say
the least, something that has – has dismayed me and very much disappointed me.
I wonder what you make of some of that rhetoric,” she added. Final Thought
— Don’t be too shocked by the governor’s remarks. After
all, it’s not like this is the first time that someone on MSNBC has noted, with
a certain amount of satisfaction, that a terrible tragedy has presented his
cause with an opportunity.
NBC News: Get Rid of the Bible on Inauguration Day
On his Thursday program, MSNBC’s “The Last Word” host
Lawrence O’Donnell said the Bible shouldn’t have any role in the upcoming
Inauguration Day ceremonies. The news that Passion City Church of Atlanta Pastor Louie Giglio lost the honor of
giving the benediction at the inaugural ceremonies because he delivered
anti-gay sermons, O’Donnell said, is a
reminder of how much undue influence the Bible has in modern discourse. “It
turns out there is no better way for a pastor to get kicked out of the
inauguration ceremony than quoting the Bible,” O’Donnell said. “That is
what Louie Giglio, of Passion City Church in Atlanta, did to get knocked out of
this year’s inauguration. His participation was announced at 9 a.m. on Tuesday
by the Presidential Inaugural Committee. It took all of a day for something to
surface in his Giglio’s sermonizing past that made him persona non grata at the
swearing-in of a president who is in favor of gay rights, including marriage
equality.” [
I suppose we should invite Reverend Wright]
