Dependence on Government vs. the American
Dream By Alison Acosta Fraser
In a clandestine
tape recorded in May and obtained by the magazine, former Governor Mitt Romney
(R-MA) remarked that 47 percent of taxpayers pay no federal income taxes. He
notes, among other things, the increase in dependency on government in the
country. This is not a widely held
secret: 47
percent of all tax filers paid no federal individual income taxes in 2009,
and in 2011 that figure was 46
percent. This is all perfectly legitimate as taxpayers take advantage of
various credits, deductions, exemptions, and the like. These filers are largely
(but not exclusively) low-income Americans including seniors and students.
At 47.4 percent of
federal revenue, the federal income tax is by far the single largest
source of revenue for the federal government. The payroll tax is next
largest, raising 35.6 percent. But those revenues are reserved for Social
Security and Medicare benefits. So the individual income tax funds the bulk of
operations of the federal government, including such core things as national
defense, homeland security, and the judicial system. Shouldn’t all Americans
have some stake, even if just a nominal one, in funding these government
programs? Should nearly 50 percent of Americans really be exempt from
funding the most basic constitutional functions of government—along with
education, food
stamps, energy, welfare, foreign aid, veterans’ benefits, housing, and so
forth?

The Movie Made Them Do It --columnist
Oliver North
Ever since the attacks of Sept. 11, 2012, the
Obama White House has sought to lay blame for deadly and destructive
anti-American attacks in Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Lebanon, Pakistan, Iraq,
Afghanistan and more than two dozen other countries on someone else. The O-Team
-- and the perpetrators -- have had a lot of help from the 'useful idiots' in
the mainstream media. ... From the perspective of many 'covering this story,'
the global jihad we're witnessing is mostly the fault of an incompetent
'filmmaker,' and the 'spontaneous outrage' is over a 'provocative video.' ...
The Obama administration continues to tell us that the Muslim Brotherhood and a
host of other Islamic radical groups in 30 countries just happened to come across
the 'offensive videos' on the 11th anniversary of the devastating 9/11 al-Qaida
attacks, which killed nearly 3,000 of our countrymen. That alone requires a
willful suspension of disbelief by anyone at all familiar with reality. ... Yet
major networks and print outlets continue to parrot the administration's
propaganda. If a Republican were in the Oval Office, the press would be calling
it a cover-up. ... We were told that the Arab Spring was going to make things
better. The Obama Nobel Prize said as much. But for all of what has transpired
since Sept. 11, 2012, there is one overriding question that needs to be asked
and answered: How could this happen? Even useful idiots should want to
know."

Marines charged for urinating on corpses
The video made them do it of U.S. soldiers
mutilated, hanging from bridges and decapitated. This as well as direct
experience with the brutality of Islamic terrorists. U.S.
Marines accused of urinating on corpses of Taliban militants were charged for
that and other Uniform Code of Military Justice violations, officials said. The
Marine Corps began its investigation into the incident after a video posted on
YouTube in January showed several laughing Marines appearing to urinate on the
bodies of dead militants. Deptola was also charged with wrongfully firing an
enemy machine gun that was recovered and failure to stop others from
unnecessarily damaging Afghan compounds, Gibson said. Three Marines received
non-judicial punishment after admitting they posed with the bodies, videoed the
incident and didn't report it, Stars and Stripes said. Several related cases
are pending and other disciplinary action will be announced later, the Marine
Corps said.

The Video Made Them Do It - The Obama
Administration
When do you think Obama will tell the Middle
East to stop clinging to their guns and religion? If it is good enough to blame on the U.S. it
sure as hell worth telling the radicals in the Middle East!!!
From a real leader:
"[E]very
lesson in history tells us that the greater risk lies in appeasement, and this
is the specter our well-meaning liberal friends refuse to face -- that their
policy of accommodation is appeasement, and it gives no choice between peace
and war, only between fight and surrender. If we continue to accommodate,
continue to back and retreat, eventually we have to face the final demand --
the ultimatum. And what then?" --Ronald Reagan

For the Record
"On Wednesday,
the Congressional Budget Office confirmed what we've been saying for years now:
President Obama has broken his pledge not to raise taxes on the middle
class. During his 2008 campaign, Obama promised Americans that he wouldn't
raise taxes on anybody making less than $250,000 a year. ... [T]he CBO has
released updated estimates showing that Obamacare's insurance mandate -- which
the Supreme Court ruled to be a tax -- will hit millions of middle-class
Americans. In its report, the CBO determined the mandate tax would cost 6
million Americans a total of $7 billion in 2016, with a minimum payment of
$695 apiece.

The Achilles Heel of ObamaCare
The clock is ticking on the
implementation of the Affordable Care Act (ObamaCare) among the 50 states. Heavy pressure from the Obama
administration is focused on convincing states to establish their own
health insurance exchanges under the law, in order to gain some
measure of state control over the operation of the exchange. The
exchange is the “front door” of ObamaCare. It is designed to look like
a marketplace, where folks can shop for health insurance from a group of
approved insurers. In reality, it is a carefully orchestrated faux
market, where people will all buy the same federally approved product,
albeit with different-colored wrapping paper. Let me make this
unequivocally clear: the idea of states having any control over the
operation of these exchanges is a fiction, adroitly peddled by those in line
to gain handsomely from the exchanges themselves. Any exchange set
up by a state must provide all the same offerings, follow the same rules,
and operate in the same manner as an exchange established by the federal
government itself.

The measure failed
miserably by an 81-10 vote against the bill. The ten votes for the bill
were cast by Republicans. Who you vote

Obama cancels election-season meeting with
Egyptian Islamist Morsi
President Barack
Obama has quietly cancelled a politically risky plan to meet this week with
Egypt’s new Islamist president. The plan was cancelled amid a wave of riots and
attacks in Arab countries that have damaged Obama’s campaign-trail claim to
foreign policy competence. In 2011, Obama had “bilateral” meetings with 13 Arab
and world leaders during the annual U.S. summit. This year, amid the foreign
policy meltdown, his schedule shows no so-called “bilats” with any foreign
leaders. The cancelled visit with
Morsi was mentioned in a Sept. 23 New York Times article about Egyptian
President Mohamed Morsi, an Islamist who now governs the Arab region’s most
important country. Despite critical 2011 support from Obama for the revolt that
removed Hosni Mubarak, Morsi is now demanding restrictions on U.S. free
speech that is critical of Islam, demanding more U.S. support for the
anti-Israeli Islamist governments in Gaza and the West Bank, and more
financial aid to help the cash-strapped Egyptian government buy food and fuel
for its population of 82 million people. These Islamist demands clash
with Obama’s promise of good U.S.-Arab relations made in his June 2009 “New
Beginning “ speech in Cairo.
That controversial
speech reversed President George W. Bush’s policy of opposition to
Islamists’ demands for theocratic governments in Egypt and other
Muslim-majority states.

Obama: Attacks in the Middle East “Bumps In
The Road”
To use the phrase
“bumps in the road” once about certain things is OK, but not when you reference
unemployment and attack in the Middle East. Barack Obama’s “60 Minutes”
interview on Sunday evening is more than likely going to end up in a Romney
campaign ad.

SAT/ACT Scores Fall in 2012, Now Below 1972
Scores Written by Gary
North
The SAT and ACT
exams judge college preparedness of American high school seniors. Verbal scores
were down this year. Math scores were stagnant.
Of those students taking the SAT or ACT exams, only 25% were judged
college-ready in 2012. This decline is
older than 1972. The peak year was 1963. This is what few people know. The standard
academic argument from defenders of the public schools is this: because more
students take the exam each year, scores decline. But far more students took it
in 1963 than in 1952, yet scores improved.
The public schools have failed. This failure is now 49 years old.

Ahmadinejad To Meet With ‘Occupy Wall Street’
on US Soil
According to
Iranian news sources, Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will spend time in
New York meeting with members of Occupy Wall Street. The Occupy movement has
long been filled with anti-Semitic undertones and overtones; back in April
2012, professors from Occupy Wall Street headed to Tehran to hang with
Ahmadinejad and discuss the glories of their populist, Obama-backed movement.

Obama: I Have Not Raised Taxes - Classically trained left winger - keep lying long
enough and the people will eventually believe!
During an interview
with 60 Minutes Sunday, President Obama said he hasn’t raised taxes. OBAMA: Well, it’s a lot of rhetoric, but there
aren’t a lot of facts supporting it. Taxes are lower on families than they’ve
been probably in the last 50 years. So I haven’t raised taxes. I’ve cut taxes
for middle class families by an average of $3,600 per typical family.” Let me remind Mr. Obama of his signature
piece of legislation: ObamaCare. ObamaCare was classified by the Supreme Court
of the United States in June as a big, giant tax. The Congressional Budget Office
estimates at least 6 million Americans will get slammed with new taxes to pay
for ObamaCare.

Why the Left Are Bigots by Nick Adams
The conceit of the
left is staggering; their foolishness immense. They believe that, as
contemporary thinkers, they have a monopoly on the truth, simply because they
are alive today, and not in an earlier, “less enlightened”, era. C.S. Lewis,
the magnificent Christian, novelist and academic, termed it: “chronological
bigotry”. To junk virtues, values, and definitions haughtily, with the
justification that we “know better now” or “we are smarter than they were” is
not simply the height of imperiousness but severely dangerous. We’re enlightened, they say. Enlightened, my
right foot. Coloring between the lines has never been the American way.
It is the most innovative, creative, transformational country the world has
ever seen. This progression is why it has lead in all three of the basic waves
of human innovation- agricultural, industrial and information. But, until
recently, and even now to more of an extent than any other, it has had the good
sense particularly in the South and Midwest of the nation to exercise
fidelity to social constants: to values and virtues held for time immemorial.
Indeed, when one visits these nations, it is difficult to imagine much has
changed in fifty years. Technology and the way business is conducted may have
changed, but the feel hasn’t. You travel to real America from any other
urbanized city of a Western country and you contract hope once more for
civilization: people are still friendly, patriotic, happy, polite, and having
children. Yes, that’s right: kids and families everywhere. The rest of the
West has stopped having children, except for its immigrant Islamic communities.
America proves a society can be the most progressive and conservative
simultaneously: that’s why it’s exceptional. Progressive and forward thinking
in the areas it needs to be; conservative in those areas it needs to be. That’s
how a society is best run.The way these people behave shows they have no respect
for their mothers and fathers, their uncles and aunts, their grandmothers and
grandfathers, or any of their family. The way these people behave shows they
are deeply ashamed of their nations and the culture that has existed until now.
The way these people behave shows they have no time for the great thinkers
or philosophers of the past. Leftists, as chronological bigots, really are
utterly unpatriotic, anti-family, atheistic and weaken Western civilization
through their mission to destroy our society as we know it.
