Me! A political activist! Yes, you!

Me! A political activist! Yes, you!

I am requesting you to become a political activist in the remaining days of this election cycle.  You say; “Bill, you must be out of your mind!”  Not really.  Many of us have a wrong view of a political activist.  It does not require marching in the streets with signs and megaphones.  It also does not require marching or sitting in government offices acting out “civil disobedience”.

So, what drives a political activist? Anyone with a passion about their country and taking back the Senate while expanding the conservative hold on the house.

Voting is very important in the end, but it is a passive type of involvement. In contrast, political activism involves taking a clear stance on an issue, voicing an opinion and working to ensure that the change desired by the political activists comes to take place.  This is what I’m asking you to do.

Becoming an activist can be done from your home and on your computer.  However, those more adventurous can go to event with like minded people.  Attending these events can be a very energizing and help sustain your energy!

The most difficult barrier most folks have is the fear of voicing their opinion.  By doing so, we fear rejection or disagreement.  Having the courage of your convictions enables you to voice your opinion; doing so, opens the opportunity to influence people!  You won't die, you won't be abandoned; but you will feel liberated from your fear!

Use your voice, use your email and send messages to others using social media.  Be courageous and bold in who you are and your principles and beliefs.

If you want the future to be different than the last six years, you must help get out the vote.  This is how you can do that!
