Welfare in the U.S. and the Population of Russia

Welfare in the U.S. and the Population of Russia

The CIA World Factbook says there are 142,470,272 people in Russia. So, the 150,026,000 citizens getting federal benefits in the United States at the end of 2012 outnumbered all the people in Russia.

The question for Americans is how did the most prosperous and successful country in the world reach a point where we have more people dependent upon the government that the population of Russia; our nemesis for 50 years of the Cold War?

Could it possibly have anything to do with the Great Society authored by Democrats? The Democrats have accomplished what the Communists desired with not a bullet fired!

Is it possible that policies adopted by Democrats to buy votes have encourage and predisposition many Americans to take the easy route versus hard work?  A natural human tendency?

Now, think about the simple fact that the change any of this depends upon people that believe in the founding principles of this nation get off the couch, become politically active, engage like minded people and get out the vote.  Period – no other pathway out!
