Democrats fear comparing Obama to Nixon
Think of this, the Watergate story is one of the most amazing
stories in American history. It is amazing for at least two reasons. First,
historians have never figured out why somebody on Nixon’s staff ordered the
break-in. What in the world did this person have in mind? What did he
expect to discover in the Democratic Party National Committee’s headquarters?
But the second aspect of it is, and has
remained, the most amazing. We are told that Watergate illustrates the triumph
of American democracy, because a sitting President was forced to resign.
In contrast, what has Obama done that stands in stark comparison to the
above?
- There was no attempt to cover up why Americans were abandoned and left to die (Benghazi).
- There was no use of a powerful agency (IRS) to squash political opposition.
- There was no orchestrated plan to lie to Americans about an issue and essential to every American (Obamacare).
- There was no use of a powerful agency (EPA) to implement policies that impact whole industries and circumvent congress.
- There was no attempt to use "executive power" to achieve what the congress refused to afford the president with his agenda (political)
- There was no "actions" by the White House that weakened America in the world and denigrate its standing with our allies.
- There was no attempt to set one group of Americans upon another through outrageous claims and lies. (The new class warfare)
- Policies that have gutted the middle class, stymied job growth and cost Americans real dollars.
-
And the list goes on......and moreover
can be substantiated with facts and public records.
The question Democrats do not want to embrace is "Which president
did more damage to America; Nixon or Obama?" The answer to the question is
obvious to the casual observer, much less the politically astute.
