Clinton White House Counsel Is Unable To List
A Single Hillary Accomplishment As Secretary Of State
Bill Clinton’s former Counsel and
troubleshooter Lanny Davis, when asked on Hugh Hewitt’s show to list Hillary
Clinton’s accomplishments, couldn’t list one of them. Instead Lanny had to
claim that the Secretary of State job is useless.
HH: All right, one question, you’ve got a
minute. Summarize for me what she accomplished as Secretary of State.
LD: Well, the biggest thing
of all is goodwill around the world, which is what secretaries of State do.

Elizabeth Warren: Allow Post Office to Offer
Checking Accounts, Small Loans
Maybe if you get government out of the postal
service they would make some money. UPS and FedEx seem to do ok.
In November, the U.S. Postal Service reported
it had a $5 billion loss for Fiscal Year 2013, its seventh consecutive year
with loss. At the time, Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe blamed Congress for
the loss, citing an “inflexible business model.”
“We’ve achieved some excellent results for the
year in terms of innovations, revenue gains, and cost reductions, but without
major legislative changes we cannot overcome the limitations of our inflexible
business model,” Donahoe said. “Congress is moving forward with legislation
that has the potential to give us greater flexibility and put us back on a firm
financial footing, and we strongly encourage that they continue moving
forward.”
Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), however,
supports an idea that would expand the role of the U.S. Postal Service from
just mail delivery to financial services as well. In an op-ed for the
Huffington Post published Saturday, Warren cited an Office of the Inspector
General report pointing out that 68 million Americans have no checking or
savings account and rely on non-bank financial services like payday loans and
check cashing to the tune of $89 billion in 2012.

DNC Vice Chair Donna Brazile: Give Illegal's Legal
Status So They Can Vote
I suppose all the stops are out now as
Democrats seem to actually be telling us exactly what they want with
immigration reform, something those of us that have been paying attention have
known all along. Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg was
candid about amnesty earlier this week. However, on Sunday, Democratic
National Committee vice chairwoman Donna Brazile appeared on This Week with
George Sephanopoulos and said that Barack Obama could not stop short of full
citizenship for illegal aliens in the United States because getting full
citizenship will allow them to vote. Read more at http://freedomoutpost.com/2014/02/dnc-vice-chair-donna-brazile-make-illegals-citizens-can-vote/#ry8Vv1wxUBAUZyFS.99

Cruz: 'The Terrain Has Changed and I Believe We
Will Repeal Obamacare'
Calling Obamacare a “Rube Goldberg-like
contraption” that has caused more people to lose their health insurance than
those who are enrolled in the exchanges, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) revised his
previous assessment that once the government subsidies kicked in, it would
be “ impossible to repeal Obamacare” because Americans would become “addicted
to the sugar.”
“We are seeing the fruits of the battle that
so many millions of Americans engaged in last fall to stop Obamacare, and I
think the direct result of that fight was to elevate the national debate over
the harms that Obamacare has caused,” Cruz said during a Wednesday conference
call with reporters and bloggers. “And as a consequence, I think the terrain
has changed and I believe we will repeal Obamacare.”
Cruz noted that “momentum was building” to
repeal President Obama’s signature health care law even among groups that had
previously supported it.
“I believe that the American people have grown
to understand what an absolute disaster this law is, that it is killing
millions of jobs, forcing millions into part-time work, has already resulted in
over five million people losing their health insurance and that it is producing
skyrocketing premiums for people all over this country. Post Continues on cnsnews.com

CBO: Obamacare Will Push 2 Million Workers Out of
Labor Market
Obamacare will push the equivalent of about 2
million workers out of the labor market by 2017 as employees decide
either to work fewer hours or drop out altogether, according to the
latest estimates Tuesday from the Congressional Budget Office.
That’s a major jump in the nonpartisan budget
agency’s projections and it suggests the health care law’s incentives are
driving businesses and people to choose government-sponsored benefits rather
than work.
“CBO estimates that the ACA will reduce the
total number of hours worked, on net, by about 1.5 to 2 percent during the
period from 2017 to 2024, almost entirely because workers will choose to supply
less labor — given the new taxes and other incentives they will face and the
financial benefits some will receive,” CBO analysts wrote in their new economic
outlook.
The scorekeepers also said the rollout
problems with the Affordable Care Act last year will mean only 6 million people
sign up through the state-based exchanges, rather than the 7 million the CBO
had originally projected.
But over the long
run, Obamacare will eventually catch up and by 2020 only about 30 million
people will be without insurance coverage — down from 45 million this year. That will mean about 92 percent of legal U.S.
residents without guaranteed access to Medicare will have insurance coverage.
