The pursuit of Constitutionally grounded governance, freedom
and individual liberty
"There
is but one straight course, and that is to seek truth and pursue it
steadily." --George

President
Obama on many occasions has said and his Treasury Secretary Jack Lew has
intimated, if the government shuts down they can’t guarantee Social Security
checks will go out on time and we may default on our debt. Of course we all know the economics. The
Fed collects roughly $200 billion every month. The interest on the debt is around
$20 billion a month or roughly 10%, so of course we can pay our debts
rather easily. Click Link to read more

Obama
wants to borrow more because he wants to spend more. His official budget in
April proposed $160-billion in new spending this year alone, but he is being
quiet about that for now. He refuses to negotiate, knowing that one demand
would be that he wouldn’t get any part of that $160-billion. Let me guide you
through some more layers of Obama’s deceptions: Click on link above to

I love a defunding fight as much as anyone, but I
really want to see ObamaCare get a stake through its heart via widespread civil
disobedience. If people refuse to sign up for ObamaCare, the program collapses.
Nothing would be more satisfying than to see ObamaCare go the way of
Prohibition (without the violence): as something else that pushed the
wonderfully unruly American people too far. Continue reading, click link above.

Contrary to what the media are telling you, the
shutdown is not helping
ObamaCare. Again and again, conservatives have been taunted by the media with
the cry of, “If you hadn’t shut down the government, we’d be covering the
ObamaCare launch debacle.” Continue

THE
VINDICTIVE GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN
The ongoing, partial shutdown of the federal government has brought a few things into clear focus. The most important is how petty, vindictive and arrogant the government can be toward the taxpayers it is supposed to serve. First, it's important to understand that much of what the federal government does every day still goes on - shutdown or no shutdown. One estimate says that 83 percent of government functions are still underway. Social Security checks are still being mailed. The military is still being paid. And interest on the national debt is being paid on time, too.
That's the open secret about government: it's main function, and biggest expense, is transfer payments - taking money from one person and giving it to someone else. So how do Democrats make it seem like government really has shutdown, and it's all Ted Cruz's fault? By getting creative. And nasty. Continue reading, click link above.

Democrats
and the White House want to put the blame for the shutdown of the Federal
Government on the House Republicans, especially those who align themselves with
the Tea Party. (I wonder if "blame" is the correct word – perhaps
praise would be better?) At the center
of the debate is President Obama's landmark legislation "The Affordable
Health Care Act" (a.k.a. ObamaCare). What I find incredibly arrogant and
self-serving, coming from the Democrat spin doctors (and their willing
accomplices in the media), are the facts surrounding the passage of this
legislation and their short term memory of the shenanigans they had to employ
in order to ram through the two thousand plus page law (which no one read, but Nancy Pelosi claims they did) in order to get it to the
President's desk for his signature. Continue reading, click link above.
