71% Say Private Sector Employees Work Harder Than
Government Employees
Americans
continue to believe private sector workers work harder for less money and have
less job security than government workers do. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone
survey finds that 71% of American Adults think workers in the private sector
work harder than government workers, the highest finding to date. That’s
up from 67% in February. Just five percent (5%) think government
employees work harder, but one-in-four (24%) are not sure.

Republicans Leaving Party Are Tired of ‘Two Evils’
Argument
We
made a great start with the TEA party in transforming the GOP. We now know that
Obama was successful in derailing the TEA party with the IRS. Now is not the
time to leave, but to reload. A
new study by the Frontier Lab, a conservative market research group, found that
Republican voters who leave the party do so because they are tired of being
told to vote Republican as the “lesser of two evils.” The study, “Switching Behavior: Modeling
disaffiliation from the Republican brand,” is published on the group’s website
and applies scientific methods of qualitative research to the GOP’s most urgent
problem. Unlike the official Republican National Committee (RNC) “autopsy,”
which was prepared by consultants and political figures using familiar
campaign-season methods such as focus groups and polls, the Frontier Lab study applied a specific
methodology from market research, Behavioral Event Modeling (BEM), to
understand the specific decisions of a sample of 97 Republicans who had chosen
to leave the party in recent years. Anne Sorock, author of the Frontier
Lab study, writes that the RNC
autopsy failed to provide “meaningful insights about how the Republican Party’s
adherents are interacting with the brand as it stands.” In an interview with
Breitbart News, she expanded on her criticism of the RNC’s self-examination,
saying that the RNC’s decision to use political consultants was “a perfect
example of everything they are doing wrong.”

King: If Obama Wants to Change Health Care Law, ‘He Must
Come to Congress’
“If President Obama wants to make changes to
ObamaCare, he must come to Congress,” Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) said on
Wednesday.”Two years ago, the Obama Administration, through a memo from a
Homeland Security Department bureaucrat, declared it would not enforce our
nation’s immigration laws. Now the Obama Administration, through a blog post by
an Assistant Secretary in the Treasury Department, is declaring it won’t even
enforce its own health care law on employers.”We live in a Constitutional
Republic. We are a nation governed by laws written by Congress, not memos and
blog posts written by bureaucrats,” King said. Congress passed the
Affordable Care Act without a single Republican vote in March 2010. The law,
which runs thousands of pages, requires all Americans to purchase health
insurance and most businesses to provide it. The rules outline what basic
services businesses must cover, and it establishes fines for individuals and
businesses that don’t comply with the various mandates.

Craigslist Ad Recruited Paid Protesters to Oppose Abortion
Legislation in Texas
A
grassroots political consulting group, whose major clients include the
Democratic National Committee (DNC), was recruiting individuals on Craigslist
and offering to pay them $1,300 to $2,200 a month to “protect women’s rights”
in Austin, Texas for their client, Planned Parenthood. The ads, entitled “Keep
America Pro-Choice” and “You Don’t Need To Filibuster To Stand Up To Anti-Pro
Choice Politicians,” were placed on Craigslist by Grassroots Campaigns, Inc.,
for Planned Parenthood, a Grassroots spokeswoman confirmed to CNSNews.com. The
phone number on the ad shown below was first posted on July 1, but has
since been deleted. It directed readers to call the Colorado-based political
consulting group at their Austin location for more information, not Planned Parenthood.
The
ad reads: “PROTECT WOMEN’S RIGHTS IN 2013! Grassroots Campaigns is immediately
hiring passionate and motivated people to help educate the public and identify
new supporters to protect reproductive rights. We’re working right now to: keep
birth control affordable, oppose attacks on women’s health, ensure healthcare
access and expand global reproductive rights.” The ad also lists a pay range of
$1300-$2200 per month.

The Architect of Destruction By Maureen Scott
Barack Obama appears to be a tormented man filled
with resentment, anger, and disdain for anyone of an opinion or view other than
his. He acts in the most hateful, spiteful, malevolent, vindictive ways in
order to manipulate and maintain power and control over others. Perhaps, because, as a child, he grew up
harboring an abiding bitterness toward the U.S. that was instilled in him by
his family and mentors…it seems to have never left him.
It is not the color of his skin that is a problem in America . Rather it is the blackness that fills his soul and the hollowness in his heart where there should be abiding pride and love for this country.
Think: Have we ever heard Obama speak lovingly of the U.S. or its people, with deep appreciation and genuine respect for our history, our customs, our sufferings and our blessings? Has he ever revealed that, like most patriotic Americans, he gets "goose bumps" when a band plays "The Star Spangled Banner," or sheds a tear when he hears a beautiful rendition of " America the Beautiful?" Does his heart burst with pride when millions of American flags wave on a National holiday - or someone plays "taps" on a trumpet? Has he ever shared the admiration of the military, as we as lovers of those who keep us free, feel when soldiers march by? It is doubtful because Obama did not grow up sharing our experiences or our values. He did not sit at the knee of a Grandfather or Uncle who showed us his medals and told us about the bravery of his fellow troops as they tramped through foreign lands to keep us free. He didn't have grandparents who told stories of suffering and then coming to America , penniless, and the opportunities they had for building a business and life for their children.
Away from this country as a young child, Obama didn't delight in being part of America and its greatness. He wasn't singing our patriotic songs in kindergarten, or standing on the roadside for a holiday parade and eating a hot dog, or lighting sparklers around a campfire on July 4th as fireworks exploded over head, or placing flags on the grave sites of fallen and beloved American heroes. Rather he was separated from all of these experiences and doesn't really understand us and what it means to be an American. He is void of the basic emotions that most feel regarding this country and insensitive to the instinctive pride we have in our national heritage. His opinions were formed by those who either envied us or wanted him to devalue the United States and the traditions and patriotism that unites us.

He has never given a speech that is filled
with calm, reassuring, complimentary, heartfelt statements about all the people
in the U.S. Or one that inspires us to be better and grateful and proud that in
a short time our country became a leader, and a protector of many. Quite the
contrary, his speeches always degenerate into mocking, ridiculing tirades as he
faults our achievements as well as any critics or opposition for the sake of a
laugh, or to bolster his ego. He uses
his Office to threaten and create fear while demeaning and degrading any
American who opposes his policies and actions. A secure leader, who has noble
self-esteem and not false confidence, refrains from showing such dread of
critics and displaying a cocky, haughty attitude.
Mostly, his time seems to be spent causing dissension, unrest, and anxiety among the people of America , rather than uniting us (even though he was presented to us as the "Great Uniter"). He creates chaos for the sake of keeping people separated, envious, aggrieved and ready to argue. Under his leadership Americans have been kept on edge, rather than in a state of comfort and security. He incites people to be aggressive toward, and disrespectful of, those of differing opinions. And through such behavior, Obama has lowered the standards for self-control and mature restraint to the level of street-fighting gangs, when he should be raising the bar for people to strive toward becoming more considerate, tolerant, self-disciplined, self-sustaining, and self-assured.
Not a day goes by that he is not attempting to defy our laws, remove our rights, over-ride established procedures, install controversial appointees, enact divisive mandates, and assert a dictatorial form of power.

Never has there been a leader of this great land who

Never have we had a President who spoke with a

Pro-Abortion Activists Call For The Rape of Legislators’
Daughters
by Frank Camp
Martin Luther King Jr. Said: “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate
cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” Hatred feels good. Let
me first admit that. There is a feeling of satisfaction that comes with hatred,
unlike any other. However, that feeling quickly turns sour, making your stomach
feel uneasy and your mind dark. That’s
because hatred accomplishes nothing; hatred poisons your own mind. Nothing can
be created with hatred as its driving factor.
The Left commonly uses hateful tactics to intimidate
their enemies, because they have
nothing substantive to use against you. Case in point: the Texas
abortion legislature battle. According to Life News:
“The
paid protesters opposing the late-term abortion ban in Texas are doing more
than rallying outside the legislature against the pro-life bill. They’re
threatening pro-life state legislators and their staffers. Death threats,
harassing emails and phone calls and calls for their daughters to be raped are
among the hate targeted at pro-life lawmakers from the small contingent of
abortion activists upset that Texas would consider banning abortions on babies
at viability.”
And according to the Washington Times: “Pro-choice protesters shouted, ‘Hail Satan!’
as an attempt to drown out pro-lifers’ rendition of ‘Amazing Grace.’“
Let me ask you: What can
be accomplished with hate mail? What can be accomplished with hoping for rape?
What can be accomplished by chanting “Hail Satan?” It is useless, guttural
filth pouring forth from the mouths of those who have within their hearts an
overabundance of hate. It constructs nothing. There is no solution
offered, nor is there any thoughtful discussion being initiated with words like
these. But the Left cannot abide
thoughtful debate or conversation. Their minds are not built to understand
anything but that which they already believe. They see their opposition, not as people with souls, personalities, and
thoughtful opinions, but as evil, degenerate hate-mongers. With that mindset,
true debate will never take place. That is the main difference between conservatives
and Liberals: Conservatives are willing to engage their opposition with logical
arguments, and Liberals only know what they believe. As Sun Tzu said: “know
your enemy.”
Conservatives know
their opponents. Liberals do not
know their opponents. That is why the Left resorts to hatred, and death
threats. That’s all they have. They
have no information about their opponents’ beliefs, because they cannot
comprehend them. It is a neurological block. The hatred to which the
Left resorts will only serve to harden their hearts, creating a cycle of
cruelty that cannot be stopped. Whether or not it is this mental block that
causes Liberalism, or Liberalism that creates the mental block, it holds their minds captive; it doesn’t
allow new information to enter. We can never resort to their tactics.
It is only the truth that can set us free. Darkness cannot drive out darkness,
but a single pinpoint of light can drive darkness back into hiding. We have to
be better.

WSJ: We're Sorry We Were Too Soft on Obamacare By:
Sandy Fitzgerald
The Wall Street Journal, a leading and persistent
critic of Obamacare, apologized to its readers Thursday for being too soft over
the law. "These columns fought
the Affordable Care Act from start to passage, and we'd now like to apologize
to our readers. It turns out we weren't nearly critical enough," the
paper said in an editorial on its website. "The law's implementation is turning into a fiasco for the ages,
and this week's version is the lawless White House decision to delay the law's
insurance mandate for businesses, though not for individuals." That decision, announced Tuesday
evening, is the latest in a series of blunders by the Obama
administration, the paper said. The change was revealed in a blog post by
Mark Mazur, a deputy assistant Treasury secretary, and came just as Washington
"began to evacuate for the long Independence Day weekend."
White House Spokeswoman Valerie Jarrett tried to handle the fallout from the surprise announcement with a blog post of her own, saying Obamacare is still on track. "That's true only if she's referring to the carelessness and improvisation that have defined the law so far," the Journal said. And while Mazur blamed the delay on the "complexity" of the bill, the paper points out that Treasury's computers and technology aren't ready to take on the checks required of the extensive healthcare act's provisions. "This is more than a typical government snafu. It relates directly to the design of the law, which was thoughtlessly written and rammed through Congress with instructions for the bureaucracy to figure it all out," the editorial said. The paper has published dozens of editorials and Op-Ed columns slamming the Affordable Health Care. For example, on June 20, writers Al Lewis and Vik Khanna wrote about how Obamacare calls for workplace wellness plans as a way to cut insurance costs — and how the plans seldom have any success even without employer mandates. Just the day before, a review and opinion piece pointed out the "Obamacare Trail of Tears," saying there is no way the government would be able to start the mandates involved by October.
These and several other editorial pieces through the past months have pointed out the publication's strong opinions about Obamacare, which, according to Thursday's scathing piece, were not strong enough. "Obamacare has become a rolling 'train wreck,' in Sen. Max Baucus's memorable phrase, and it gets worse the more of it the public sees. The employer mandate is terrible policy, as the law's critics said before it passed. "Now the Administration is all but admitting it can't implement it properly, and the task for opponents is to press the concession and begin to delay the rest of the law and dismantle it piece by piece."

SHOCKING VIDEO: Christian Street Preachers Assaulted at
Gay Pride Festival
Can you imagine if this would have been Christians
attacking gays at a pro marriage rally? It would have been a front page story
and total outrage. A protester holding
a sign reading “Repent or Else” was attacked by a group of people following a
loud argument during Pridefest Sunday, according to the Seattle Police Department.
Bicycle officers heard a loud debate between two groups of people near Fourth
Avenue North and Broad Street but continued on their way. According to video
shot by a witness, after officers leave the crowd continues to yell at and
shove two religious protesters, one of whom is holding a sign that reads
“Repent or Else” and “Jesus Saves from Sin.” At one point, the video shows a
36-year-old Marysville man taking off his shirt and threatening the
sign-holding protester. The man eventually starts leaving, saying, “Cops are
coming; let’s roll.” After a group of women try unsuccessfully to steal
the protester’s sign, a group of men grab onto it and pull him to the ground
while the crowd applauds. That’s when the video shows the 36-year-old run back
toward the fight and punch the sign-holder in the back of the head multiple
times. watch

The Mindset of the Left: Part III By
Thomas Sowell
The fundamental problem of the political left seems to be that the real world does not fit their preconceptions. Therefore they see the real world as what is wrong, and what needs to be changed, since apparently their preconceptions cannot be wrong. A never-ending source of grievances for the left is the fact that some groups are "over-represented" in desirable occupations, institutions and income brackets, while other groups are "under-represented." From all the indignation and outrage about this expressed on the left, you might think that it was impossible that different groups are simply better at different things. Yet runners from Kenya continue to win a disproportionate share of marathons in the United States, and children whose parents or grandparents came from India have won most of the American spelling bees in the past 15 years. And has anyone failed to notice that the leading professional basketball players have for years been black, in a country where most of the population is white?
Most of the leading photographic lenses in the world have — for generations — been designed by people who were either Japanese or German. Most of the leading diamond-cutters in the world have been either India's Jains or Jews from Israel or elsewhere.
Not only people but things have been grossly unequal. More than two-thirds of all the tornadoes in the entire world occur in the middle of the United States. Asia has more than 70 mountain peaks that are higher than 20,000 feet and Africa has none. Is it news that a disproportionate share of all the oil in the world is in the Middle East? Whole books could be filled with the unequal behavior or performances of people, or the unequal geographic settings in which whole races, nations and civilizations have developed. Yet the preconceptions of the political left march on undaunted, loudly proclaiming sinister reasons why outcomes are not equal within nations or between nations.
All this moral melodrama has served as a background for the political agenda of the left, which has claimed to be able to lift the poor out of poverty and in general make the world a better place. This claim has been made for centuries, and in countries around the world. And it has failed for centuries in countries around the world. Some of the most sweeping and spectacular rhetoric of the left occurred in 18th century France, where the very concept of the left originated in the fact that people with certain views sat on the left side of the National Assembly. The French Revolution was their chance to show what they could do when they got the power they sought. In contrast to what they promised — "liberty, equality, fraternity" — what they actually produced were food shortages, mob violence and dictatorial powers that included arbitrary executions, extending even to their own leaders, such as Robespierre, who died under the guillotine.
In the 20th century, the most sweeping vision of the left — Communism — spread over vast regions of the world and encompassed well over a billion human beings. Of these, millions died of starvation in the Soviet Union under Stalin and tens of millions in China under Mao. Milder versions of socialism, with central planning of national economies, took root in India and in various European democracies. If the preconceptions of the left were correct, central planning by educated elites with vast amounts of statistical data at their fingertips, expertise readily available, and backed by the power of government, should have been more successful than market economies where millions of individuals pursued their own individual interests willy-nilly.
But, by the end of the 20th century, even socialist and communist governments began abandoning central planning and allowing more market competition. Yet this quiet capitulation to inescapable realities did not end the noisy claims of the left. In the United States, those claims and policies reached new heights, epitomized by government takeovers of whole sectors of the economy and unprecedented intrusions into the lives of Americans, of which ObamaCare has been only the most obvious example.

Obama’s Executive Ordered Study Report On Gun Violence
Slaps Him In The Face
by Tim Brown
If you recall, back on January 16, 2013, standing
with little children, Barack Hussein Obama tried to pull a fast one on the
American people and issued 23 executive orders pertaining to gun control. Among
those was number 14: Issue a
Presidential Memorandum directing the Centers for Disease Control to research
the causes and prevention of gun violence. Well friends, that study did
happen and it destroyed Obama’s position on guns and gun violence. Well like
all things in government, the people tasked with the study simply directed the
study to the Institute of Medicine and National Research Council. However, many
people have not heard about the report. Could it be that much of the
information in the report didn’t quite “jive” with Obama and the anti-gun
crowd?
Actually, that’s exactly what it did. In fact, not
only did they not hold any water for Obama’s claims regarding gun violence, it
poured it on him, pretty much backing every Second Amendment lover’s argument
that has been made.
The report, titled Priorities for Research to Reduce the Threat of Firearm-related
Violence, which identifies the particular topics of gun violence to be
researched over the next few years, made
the point that the majority of deaths that take place annually by the use of a
firearm are not related to crime, but to suicide.
“Between
the years 2000-2010 firearm-related suicides significantly outnumbered
homicides for all age groups, annually accounting for 61 percent of the more
than 335,600 people who died from firearms related violence in the United
States,” reads the study.
That’s obviously not a good thing. However, it
indicates that many Americans suffer from both a spiritual and mental health
issue. With that said, let’s not then run to government to deal with mental
health issues. I’ve warned before and I’ll warn you now: That would be a very
bad move. Here’s the great news in the report though. It points out that
virtually every study which “assessed the effect of actual defensive uses of
guns” discovered the same thing. Those
using their guns for self-defense “consistently lower injury rates among
gun-using crime victims compared with victims who used other self-protective
strategies.” Oh and remember how
we’ve been told by the Obama administration and the socialist gun grabbers that
guns aren’t used that often in self-defense? Well, the report shows that isn’t
true either.
“Defensive uses of guns by crime
victims is a common occurrence, although the exact number remains disputed
(Cook and Ludwig, 1996; Kleck, 2001a),” the study reads. “Almost all national
survey estimates indicate that defensive gun uses by victims are at least as
common as offensive uses by criminals, with estimates of annual uses ranging
from about 500,000 to more than 3 million per year (Kleck, 2001a), in the
context of about 300,000 violent crimes involving firearms in 2008 (BJS,
2010).”
While everyone
recognizes that there will always be crime and violence and yes, even gun violence,
the fact of the matter is that gun control is not the answer, except to make
sure you control your own gun and hit your target. For sure
there will be more data added as the study continues, but already what they do
have from the past indicates something that is completely opposite from what
this administration has presented and there is no doubt that any information
that comes out of the study will be thoroughly scrutinized. The report also
referenced video game violence to see how it might contribute to gun violence,
but said that more research would need to be done and no research to the
present has been conclusive. Anyone
wondering why Barack Obama, Joe Biden and Dianne Feinstein aren’t running to
the state run media to air out this little report? It’s because they have egg
on their face. One last question that is on my mind is, how much will this
study end up costing the American taxpayer?
