Make Room for Islamistgate: The Obama Administration’s Newest, (Biggest?) Scandal
Currently the Obama administration is facing three big scandals — the IRS targeting, the bugging of AP and Fox, and Benghazi. Now we have scandal Number Four, just as large in scope. For the last four years, the Obama administration has conducted a major “outreach” program to Islamic groups in the United States and in the Middle East. In a comprehensive article, investigative journalist and PJ Media contributor Patrick Poole now presents the full scoop and scope of what’s been going on. His article — “Blind to Terror: The U.S. Government’s Disastrous Muslim Outreach Efforts and the Impact on U.S. Policy” — appearing in the new Summer issue of the MERIA Journal is a game-changer.

You may think that you know about this subject, but the scandal extends far beyond what you have heard. The majority of these groups and individuals promoted by the Obama administration have been radical Islamists, particularly Muslim Brotherhood cadre, and more than occasionally were people involved in terrorist activity. Actual moderate Muslims have been neglected and isolated by this project, which has helped the radicals, Islamists, and pro-terrorists gain hegemony in the Muslim community in America. Again, you may think that you know this story — but it is far more extensive than has ever before been revealed. Often, the White House and FBI have granted access and worked with those who were simultaneously being investigated on serious charges of terrorism. The whole “outreach” program has been a farce, and it would be charitable to describe it as incompetence on the part of the Obama administration. Patrick Poole pulls all of the material together for the first time and shows serious flaws that have endangered Americans in scores of cases. Radicals have been given credentials as moderates, been provided with information that should have remained secret, and been allowed to advise and influence U.S. policy. The kind of government mishandling of terrorist threats that characterize the Fort Hood case and the Boston bombing has been business as usual.

FBI expert: Quran is 'revealed word of God'  - Bob Unruh
Agency sterilizes records to satisfy Muslim critics.  The FBI has censored and modified hundreds of pages of materials to satisfy Muslim critics, including a change that was made because an agency “expert” insisted the Quran “is the revealed word of God.” The details come from Judicial Watch, which obtained documentation of the hundreds of pages of FBI memos, training documents and other paperwork that the agency purged on the demands of Muslims.  “The FBI is rewriting history in order to help al-Qaida,” said Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton. “This shows that the law enforcement agency is in need of serious top-to-bottom reform.” Fitton said a lesson learned from the Boston Marathon terrorist attack is that the country is less safe when it allows radical Muslim organizations to tell the FBI how to train its agents and do its job.

“The FBI’s purge of so-called ‘offensive’ material is political correctness run amok, and it puts the nation at risk,” he said. “The Obama administration needs to stop putting the tender sensibilities of radical Islamists above the safety of the American people.” The organization recently released hundreds of pages of documents from the FBI that demonstrate the effort to purge from anti-terrorism training materials and curriculum anything that a number of unidentified “subject matter experts” deemed “offensive” to Muslims. For example, according to Judicial Watch, one expert insisted that a particular slide in a training program describing the Quran as the teachings of Muhammad be removed or changed. The reason? “The Quran is not the teachings of the prophet,” wrote the expert, “but the revealed word of God.”

According to Judicial Watch, another criticism was leveled against a particular article because it “inaccurately argues the Muslim Brotherhood is a terrorist organization.” Also, another document “inaccurately states” that al-Qaida “is responsible for the bombing of the Khobar Towers and that AQ is ‘clearly linked’ to the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center.” Judicial Watch got the materials in two deliveries earlier this year following a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit that was filed last July. The original request for the documents, made March 7, 2012, asked for records regarding a Feb. 8, 2012, meeting that FBI Director Robert Mueller set up with various Muslim organizations.

Judicial Watch wanted “any and all records setting criteria or guidelines for FBI curricula on Islam or records identifying potentially offensive material with in the FBI curricula on Islam.” Judicial Watch explained: “During the February 8 meeting, Mueller reportedly assured the Islamic groups in attendance that the agency had ordered the removal of presentations and curricula on Islam from FBI offices around the country that were deemed ‘offensive.’ As reported by NPR: ‘The FBI has completed a review of offensive training material and has purged 876 pages and 392 presentations, according to a briefing provided to lawmakers.’”

The Washington Examiner noted that while the Muslim Brotherhood is not on the U.S. State Department’s official list of international terrorist organizations, some of its offshoots, including the Palestinian group Hamas, are. In fact, Mueller himself has described the Muslim Brotherhood as the inspiration for terror in the U.S. and overseas. Mueller’s comments came in a 2011 House committee hearing, when he was joined by other Obama administration intelligence and law enforcement officials to discuss the Muslim Brotherhood. The Brotherhood’s motto is: “Allah is our objective. The prophet is our leader. The Quran is our law. Jihad is our way. Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope.” The Muslim critics also didn’t like a statement in the FBI training material that “young male immigrants of Middle Eastern appearance” fit a terrorist profile. Another document, the objected, “seems to conflate ‘Islamic militancy’ with ‘terrorism.’” The FBI also acted on a claim from one of its “experts” that the anti-terror training needs to accommodate “the current political context.”

It’s just the latest example of the Obama administration’s accommodation of Muslims, critics say. The administration also has launched a series of Muslim Outreach Summits so that Muslims can tell federal officials how they better can serve their community. The administration also is holding educational outreaches to let people know that Internet postings that violate civil rights are subject to federal prosecution.
Bill Killian, U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Tennessee, has scheduled an appearance at an American Muslim Advisory Council of Tennessee meeting to “provide input on how civil rights can be violated by those who post inflammatory documents targeted at Muslims on social media,” according to the Tullahoma News in Tennessee. “This is an educational effort with civil rights laws as they play into freedom of religion and exercising freedom of religion,” he said. “This is also to inform the public what federal laws are in effect and what the consequences are.” Killian said everyone needs to understand that Internet postings that violate civil rights are subject to federal jurisdiction. He asserted that while some Muslims may blow up buildings, hijack airliners and kill thousands, there are terrorists of other religions as well. [which ones?]

The State Department lent its weight by sending anti-American imam Feisal Abdul Rauf on a trip to the Middle East for outreach to Muslims. Explained Judicial Watch: “Over the years, the Obama administration has embarked on a fervent crusade to befriend Muslims by creating a variety of outreach programs at a number of key federal agencies.”

The Religion of Peace on Display: The Epidemic of UK Muslim Pedophile Rings
The Oxfordshire child-sex-trafficking ring was allowed by the authorities’ negligence to drug, rape and sell for sex girls aged 11-16 over seven years. Seven gang members, all Muslim, have been found guilty of a string of sex offences just over two weeks ago.  Consider the following quote:
The fact is that the vicious activities of the Oxford ring are bound up with religion and race: religion, because all the perpetrators, though they had different nationalities, were Muslim; and race, because they deliberately targeted vulnerable white girls, whom they appeared to regard as ‘easy meat’, to use one of their revealing, racist phrases.
Indeed, one of the victims who bravely gave evidence in court told a newspaper afterwards that ‘the men exclusively wanted white girls to abuse’. But as so often in fearful, politically correct modern Britain, there is a craven unwillingness to face up to this reality. Commentators and politicians tip-toe around it, hiding behind weasel words. We are told that child sex abuse happens ‘in all communities’, that white men are really far more likely to be abusers, as has been shown by the fall-out from the Jimmy Savile case. One particularly misguided commentary argued that the predators’ religion was an irrelevance, for what really mattered was that most of them worked in the night-time economy as taxi drivers, just as in the Rochdale child sex scandal many of the abusers worked in kebab houses, so they had far more opportunities to target vulnerable girls. But all this is deluded nonsense. While it is, of course, true that abuse happens in all communities, no amount of obfuscation can hide the pattern that has been exposed in a series of recent chilling scandals, from Rochdale to Oxford, and Telford to Derby.  In all these incidents, the abusers were Muslim men, and their targets were under-age white girls.
Moreover, reputable studies show that around 26 per cent of those involved in grooming and exploitation rings are Muslims, which is around five times higher than the proportion of Muslims in the adult male population. To pretend that this is not an issue for the Islamic community is to fall into a state of ideological denial. But then part of the reason this scandal happened at all is precisely because of such politically correct thinking. All the agencies of the state, including the police, the social services and the care system, seemed eager to ignore the sickening exploitation that was happening before their eyes.  Terrified of accusations of racism, desperate not to undermine the official creed of cultural diversity, they took no action against obvious abuse. Amazingly, the predators seem to have been allowed by local authority managers to come and go from care homes, picking their targets to ply them with drink and drugs before abusing them. You can be sure that if the situation had been reversed, with gangs of tough, young white men preying on vulnerable Muslim girls, the state’s agencies would have acted with greater alacrity. Another sign of the cowardly approach to these horrors is the constant reference to the criminals as ‘Asians’ rather than as ‘Muslims’. In this context, Asian is a completely meaningless term. The men were not from China, or India or Sri Lanka or even Bangladesh. They were all from either Pakistan or Eritrea, which is, in fact, in East Africa rather than Asia.

Abortionist agrees, Planned Parenthood ‘never listened to’ nurses about ‘nightmare’ facility
The nurses who exposed the “meat-market” conditions at a “nightmare” abortion facility say Planned Parenthood turned a deaf ear to their repeated complaints and pleas for action. Over the weekend, the abortionist who worked at the clinic and oversaw the nurses said he agrees. "Planned Parenthood is partly to blame for all this,” said Timothy Liveright, the 68-year-old abortionist who, according to the nurses and the state attorney general's office, is responsible for many of the violations in question. “They've allowed this circus to continue. It's partly because they never listened to these women to begin with." The abortionist told The News Journal that he is being made a "scapegoat" for the problems at the clinic. Joyce Vasikonis and Jayne Mitchell-Werbrich said they alerted the abortion provider about the unsanitary practices of the Wilmington, Delaware, Planned Parenthood – where they say instruments were not sterilized between patients, Dr. Liveright reused bloody gloves, untrained staff members over sedated women and let them wander around, and women were rushed onto tables still stained with the blood of the previous patient.
Women "could be at risk of getting hepatitis, even AIDS,” said Vasikonis.

Christian America
In Peter’s first epistle he wrote, “Be subject to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake” (1 Pet. 2:13). If one were to borrow words from modern vernacular, one might simply say, “Obey the laws of the land.” However, in a society that seems to be pushing further and further away from God, is it possible to still do so and maintain our faithfulness and ultimately promote righteousness? The answer might seem difficult at first glance, but really, it’s simple, YES! Then, the question becomes how?

As Christians living in a postmodern world where the access to sin is quite literally right at our fingertips, how do we maintain our faithfulness? Paul made the statement when writing to the church at Rome to “present your body a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service. And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God” (Rom. 12:1-2). To maintain our Christian values in the midst of an ever-changing government, we must first understand the severity of our commitment to the Lord. Paul uses explicit language here, and he ultimately said to give God our highest prized possession, ourselves! He followed through with the details pertaining to such a sacrifice by telling us to be holy. The idea of holiness is often defined as set-apartness, sanctification, consecration; it also carries with it the idea of being pure and blameless. Then the apostle went further to say that we are not to be fashioned according to this world but rather to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.

We are to bear the marks of Christ. When it comes to our faithfulness, there should never have to be a compromise. Do you recall the question that was asked of Jesus concerning paying tribute to Caesar and His response to it? He said, “Render to Caesar that which is Caesar and to God that which is God’s” (Luke 20:25). Was it the questions that drew this response from Christ? No, the answer, Jesus says, is found in the details of the coin. In the previous verses, Jesus made reference to possession by calling out the image and superscription of the coin. We are to bear the marks of a Christian before we bear the marks of anything else, and that includes our governmental responsibilities. This is why it is in His image that we are to be fashioned and not that of the world. This could very well be why Jesus reminded us that we are not of the world but that He has chosen us out of the world (John 15:18-19).

EPA Also Targeting Conservative Groups?
Does the Obama tyranny have no limits? There are also stories about the ATF doing the same sort of thing. It’s a sad state for freedom. It’s not just the IRS. A second federal agency is facing a probe and accusations of political bias over its alleged targeting of conservative groups. The allegations concern the Environmental Protection Agency, which is being accused of trying to charge conservative groups fees while largely exempting liberal groups. The fees applied to Freedom of Information Act requests — allegedly, the EPA waived them for liberal groups far more often than it did for conservative ones. The allegations are under investigation by the House Energy and Commerce Committee and the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, which is also holding hearings on the Internal Revenue Service targeting of conservative groups.

Meet the campaign manager
"A clue as to whether the targeting by the IRS of Tea Party and other conservative groups was discussed at the 157 meetings that former IRS Commissioner Douglas Shulman had at the White House may be found in remarks by Stephanie Cutter, deputy manager for President Obama's 2012 reelection campaign, in a recent appearance on Jake Tapper's show 'The Lead' on CNN. ... Cutter attempted to dismiss charges they were political meetings but admitted she had attended meetings with Shulman at the White House. ... Well, if they were not political meetings, why was she there at all? Was she there to offer her health care or tax code expertise? ... When she appeared on CBS' 'Face the Nation' to defend the president's new campaign slogan 'Romnesia,' she went on to say that Republican nominee Mitt Romney was 'severely conservative' and had run as the 'ideal' Tea Party candidate. She said this as she was sitting in meetings with the head of an IRS that was charged with implementation of ObamaCare as it was targeting groups that were created to oppose ObamaCare. Though she denies it, Cutter was also deeply involved in the ads run by the pro-Obama super-PAC Priorities USA in which steelworker Joe Soptic recounted how his wife died of cancer after he lost his health insurance when his plant was shuttered after a takeover by Bain Capital and other companies working with Romney's private equity firm. ... Cutter should be called to testify under oath before the House Oversight Committee to explain why a key Obama campaign operative was in on meetings to discuss ObamaCare implementation with an IRS official whose agency was targeting groups opposed to it." --Investor's Business Daily

"On the other hand, the duty imposed upon him [the president] to take care, that the laws be faithfully executed, follows out the strong injunctions of his oath of office, that he will "preserve, protect, and defend the constitution." The great object of the executive department is to accomplish this purpose; and without it, be the form of government whatever it may, it will be utterly worthless for offence, or defence; for the redress of grievances, or the protection of rights; for the happiness, or good order, or safety of the people." --Joseph Story, Commentaries on the Constitution, 1833
"No country can be called free which is governed by an absolute power; and it matters not whether it be an absolute royal power or an absolute legislative power, as the consequences will be the same to the people." --Thomas Paine, Four Letters on Interesting Subjects, 1776
