The
Secret Sandy Hook Secrecy Bill by Mark Horne
Been
wondering what has happened with the Sandy Hook case? Want many of the weird
questions settled? The legislature of Connecticut has been bypassing normal open
procedures to craft a bill behind closed doors that would, if passed, keep
basic evidence of the crime forever behind closed doors From the
Hartford Courant, “Bill Drafted In Secret Would Block Release Of Some
Newtown Massacre Records”:
“The staffs of the state’s top prosecutor and
the governor’s office have been working in secret with General Assembly leaders
on legislation to withhold records related to the police investigation into the
Dec. 14 Newtown elementary school massacre — including victims’ photos, tapes
of 911 calls, and possibly more. The behind-the-scenes legislative effort came
to light Tuesday when The Courant obtained a copy of an email by a top
assistant to Chief State’s Attorney Kevin Kane, Timothy J. Sugrue. Sugrue, an
assistant state’s attorney, discussed options considered so far, including
blocking release of statements ‘made by a minor.’”
You
have got to be kidding. The bereaved
Sandy Hook parents are going through hell, I’m sure, and will be doing so for
years to come. But they are no more special than the bereaved parents of children who
were murdered in Columbine High School. As I wrote back when Michael Moore said
he wanted the pictures released, “If you use Google image search for
words like crime scene columbine or Clebold and Harris,
you will find some pretty gruesome pictures. Why is Sandy Hook being treated so
differently?” This entire investigation has been shrouded in secrecy, as
evidenced by repeated protests by local editorials. All this secrecy has been kept
simply by the raw will of the police and whoever is overseeing them.
What will happen if this becomes enshrined in law? Will it only be the bodies
that are kept from view, or will we never get to see any more pictures of the
bullet-ridden cars in the parking lot? Or will we be forbidden from seeing
photographs of Adam Lanza’s Honda Civic with all four doors open and black
sweatshirts strewn on the pavement around it? What about spent shells and the
bullet holes in the interior walls? The official story makes Adam Lanza a lone
gunman who managed to shoot 155 bullets in under five minutes and hit multiple
targets multiple times. Other than some
professional local Connecticut Journalists, the major media has investigated
nothing at all related to Sandy Hook, but rather considered it an opportunity
to play Oprah Winfrey and to lobby for gun control. Many (Most? All?) of the
Sandy Hook parents whose delicate privacy the Connecticut legislators are so
concerned about have been aggressively lobbying in the news and in legislatures
using their pain as a license to attack the second amendment.
Showing the damage would further their cause, just like Michael Moore said.
I’ve
never in my life heard of the side of law and order wanting to suppress
evidence. It is always the defense who wants the pictures concealed because of
the fear that the jury will become enflamed with a sense of justice against the
perpetrator.
What the Connecticut legislature is trying to do just seems backwards. The
fact that they have tried to hide what they are doing makes it seem even more
sinister.

The
false prophets aren’t idiots, but we are by Walter Williams
Henry
Miller, senior fellow at the Hoover Institution, and Gregory Conko, senior
fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, in their Forbes article “Rachel
Carson’s Deadly Fantasies” (9/5/2012), wrote that her 1962 book, “Silent
Spring,” led to a world ban on DDT use. The DDT ban was responsible for the loss of
“tens of millions of human lives – mostly children in poor, tropical countries
– (that) have been traded for the possibility of slightly improved fertility in
raptors (birds). This remains one of the monumental human tragedies of the last
century.”
DDT presents no harm to humans and, when used properly, poses no environmental threat. In 1970, a committee of the National Academy of Sciences wrote: “To only a few chemicals does man owe as great a debt as to DDT. ... In a little more than two decades, DDT has prevented 500 million human deaths, due to malaria, that otherwise would have been inevitable.” Prior to the DDT ban, malaria was on the verge of extinction in some countries.
The World Health Organization estimates that malaria infects at least 200 million people, of which more than a half-million die each year. Most malaria victims are African children. People who support the DDT ban are complicit in the deaths of tens of millions of Africans and Southeast Asians. Philanthropist Bill Gates is raising money for millions of mosquito nets, but to keep his environmentalist credentials, the last thing that he’d advocate is DDT use. Remarkably, black congressmen share his vision.
Wackoism didn’t end with Carson’s death. Paul Ehrlich, Stanford University biologist, in his 1968 best-selling book, “The Population Bomb,” predicted major food shortages in the United States and that “in the 1970s ... hundreds of millions of people are going to starve to death.” Ehrlich saw England in more desperate straits, saying, “If I were a gambler, I would take even money that England will not exist in the year 2000.” On the first Earth Day, in 1970, Ehrlich warned: “In 10 years all important animal life in the sea will be extinct. Large areas of coastline will have to be evacuated because of the stench of dead fish.” Ehrlich continues to be a media and academic favorite.
Then there are governmental wacko teachings. In 1914, the U.S. Bureau of Mines predicted our oil reserves would last 10 years. In 1939, the U.S. Department of the Interior revised the estimate, saying that American oil would last 13 years. In 1972, the Club of Rome’s report “Limits to Growth” said total world oil reserves totaled 550 billion barrels. With that report in hand, then-President Jimmy Carter said, “We could use up all proven reserves of oil in the entire world by the end of the next decade.” He added, “The oil and natural gas we rely on for 75 percent of our energy are running out.” As for Carter’s running-out-of-oil prediction, a recent report by the U.S. Government Accountability Office and private industry experts estimate that, if even half of the oil bound up in the Green River formation in Utah, Wyoming and Colorado is recovered, it would be “equal to the entire world’s proven oil reserves.”
Our continued acceptance of environmentalist manipulation, lies and fear-mongering has led Congress to establish deadly public policies in the name of saving energy – such as Corporate Average Fuel Economy standards, which downsize autos and cause unnecessary highway fatalities. That’s on top of the stupid 1970s 55 mph laws.
The next time an environmentalist warns us of a pending disaster or that we are running out of something, we ought to ask: When was the last time a prediction of yours was right? Some people are inclined to call these people idiots.
That’s wrong. They have been successful in their agenda. It’s we who are the idiots for listening to them and allowing Congress to let them have their way.

Biden
Slips and Reveals True Aim of Government “Studies”
Occasionally,
a politician makes an off-the-cuff remark that reveals more about Washington
than thousands of speeches ever could. With one sentence, Joe Biden recently let the cat
out of the bag and affirmed the true intentions of the flurry of proposals for
government studies on violent media that have propagated in the time since
Newtown shootings: that is that they are purely political studies with a purely
political intent to create pseudoscientific cover for a brazenly
unconstitutional agenda. At a recent meeting at the White House between
Biden and faith-based leaders Billy Graham’s son Franklin proposed the idea of
taxing violence and funneling proceeds to “help victims.” To which Biden
replied that there was “no reason why they couldn’t do that.” Now the
unconstitutionality of this has sparked no small amount outrage among those who
value the First Amendment. But what he says next should alarm them even
more. Biden continued by saying, “They really need a good scientific study,
which they’ve done on things like smoking.” Ah, yes. The Study. When it
comes to Washington lobbying and public relations, nothing ads credibility to
your position like a study confirming the validity of your position. Never mind
that your position is in direct violation of the Constitution. Get
the results you want from a study, publish it, run a PR campaign, get the media
on board and eventually weak-kneed politicians will succumb to your “scientific
evidence”.

Trayvon Martin Case Evidence: Defense Team Releases Photos, Texts That Teen Had
On His Phone
It
is interesting that they can blast Zimmerman, but point out something about the
violent teen and you’re racist. Data
released Thursday by the defense from slain Florida teenager Trayvon Martin’s
cellphone includes texts with a friend about fighting, smoking pot and being
forced to move out of his mother’s house because of trouble at school, as well
as photos of a gun and what looks to be a potted marijuana plant. A hearing next week will decide if the
information can be used at the trial for George Zimmerman, who is charged with
fatally shooting the unarmed 17-year-old last year during a confrontation at a
gated community in Sanford. Prosecutors want the negative evidence omitted, but
Zimmerman’s defense attorney said if they try to portray his client as the
antagonist and Martin as the victim, he wants to show the jury that Martin has
talked about fighting before. “If
they had suggested that Trayvon is nonviolent and that George is the aggressor,
I think that makes evidence of the fighting he has been involved with in the
past relevant,” said Mark O’Mara. Watch here

Don’t Say: London Terrorist May Have Ties to Nigerian Boko Haram
By
Jim Kouri
An attacker using a meat cleaver and his armed partner killed a 25-year-old British soldier in the streets of London on Wednesday, and Britain’s elite law enforcement believe the Nigerian men may be affiliated with a dangerous and bloodthirsty Islamist group based in Nigeria and affiliated with al-Qaeda. The United Kingdom’s world-renowned law enforcement agency, Scotland Yard reported on Thursday that two more suspected Nigerian terrorists were arrested by inspectors investigating the hacking death of a British soldier, Lee Rigby, in London by two suspects yelling “Allahu Akbar.” Scotland Yard officials said counterterrorism unit detectives arrested a male and female on Thursday on suspicion of conspiracy to murder. Both suspects are being held in a London police station, officials noted. The two suspects who killed the young soldier — both in their mid-20′s — were shot and arrested by police at the scene of the killing of a British soldier on Wednesday. Both men remain hospitalized in stable condition, according to Scotland Yard.

Democrats
Grow Increasingly Desperate During Scandalpalooza
by Frank
Camp
Douglas
Horton said: “Desperation is like stealing from the Mafia: you stand a good
chance of attracting the wrong attention.” There is a certain sixth sense that
allows people to detect what someone is really up to when they act in a
desperate manner. This sense is innate in some people and cultivated in others;
but generally speaking, human beings can detect desperation from a mile away.
We see it every day. The real skill comes in figuring out the reason in
the madness. Desperation emerges out of one place: fear. Fear triggers us to
reach too far; to overcompensate. Unfortunately, that overcompensation always
seems to attract unwanted attention.
Amid
“Scandalpalooza 2013″ (as I am now calling it), new evidence keeps pouring in. Every
day, another piece of the puzzle falls into place regarding the Benghazi
attack, the IRS’ targeting of Conservatives, or the seizure of journalists’
private information. And with every bit of data we recover, the closer we
get to finding out if the President was directly involved in these incidents.
Of course, we know he was–basic powers of deduction being what they
are–but we still lack much hard evidence. The Democrats are cunning in the highest
degree, and they will do everything they can to keep the President out of the
criminal loop.
In
an email sent out by the DNC, Republicans are blamed for actively inventing the
scandals that have been plaguing POTUS. The following is a portion of the
email:
“Friend:
Getting in President Obama’s way has been the top priority for Republicans in
Congress since day one. But now they’ve gone too far. They’ve been caught
red-handed making up so-called ‘scandals’ out of thin air to stir up false
rumors of vast ‘cover-ups’ happening in the White House. Did they find a single
shred of evidence to back up their outrageous claims? No. But rather than let
the truth stand in their way, Republicans actually doctored emails between
administration officials about Benghazi. Then, they released them to the press,
trying to pass them off as real in order to create their scandal. Fortunately,
they got caught in the act when the White House released all of the actual
emails.“
Along
with David Axelrod blaming Republicans for the recent bridge collapse, this
email reeks of desperation. According to Town Hall: “As
a reminder, the Washington Post fact checker gave White House Communications
Director Dan Pfieffer three Pinochios for making these very claims on the
Sunday shows last weekend.”

Leon
Eisenberg – Father Of ADHD Calls Himself A Liar by Bradlee Dean
“ADHD is a prime example of a
fictitious disease.” These were the words of Leon Eisenberg, the “scientific
father of ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder),” in his last
interview before his death. Leon Eisenberg made a
luxurious living off of his “fictitious disease,” thanks to pharmaceutical
sales. Coincidentally, he received the “Ruane Prize for Child and Adolescent
Psychiatry Research. He has been a leader in child psychiatry for more than 40
years through his work in pharmacological trials, research, teaching, and
social policy and for his theories of autism and social medicine,” according to
Psychiatric News.
Yes, it
was even admitted that they are his THEORIES. The medical industry is using the
guise of helping children to depersonalize and disconnect our children from a
healthy, normal upbringing. Parents are placing their children on these
drugs and subjecting them to what the world has to offer, when in fact all
these children are looking for is their parents in hopes of being the blessing
that God intended them to be. In the United States, 1 out of 10 boys among
10-year-olds takes medication for ADHD on a daily basis … with increasing
tendency. And with the help of Teen Screen surveys in public schools,
they are attempting to set up the student for the fall. American psychologist Lisa Cosgrove and others
reveal the facts in their study “Financial Ties between DSM-IV Panel Members
and the Pharmaceutical Industry.” They found that “Of the 170 DSM panel members
95 (56 percent) had one or more financial associations with companies in the
pharmaceutical industry. One hundred percent of the members of the panels on
‘Mood Disorders’ and ‘Schizophrenia and Other Psychotic Disorders’ had
financial ties to drug companies.” And
they are reaping major benefits off of this “fictitious disease.” For example,
the assistant director of the Pediatric Psychopharmacology Unit at
Massachusetts General Hospital and associate professor of Psychiatry at Harvard
Medical School received “$1 million in earnings from drug companies between
2000 and 2007.” Marc-AndrĂ©
Gagnon and Joel Lexchin, a long-time researcher of pharmaceutical promotion,
performed a study which shows that the U.S. pharmaceutical industry spent 24.4 percent
of the sales dollar on promotion, versus 13.4 percent for research and
development in 2004. That is almost twice as much money on
pushing their drugs on the people than research to make sure it is safe! This raises the following question:
Are they safe?

Obama’s
EPA Scandal Begins To See The Light Of Day
by Tim
Brown
Currently
on the front burner of scandals in the Obama administration are Benghazi, the
Internal Revenue Service (IRS) targeting of conservative groups, and the AP
scandal. Of course, Fast and Furious is also still very much alive. However,
over the past week, two more scandals are coming to light and may be just as
big as the others. One of those involves the Environmental Protection Agency
(EPA).
Congressional
Republicans are accusing the agency of giving unfair preference to environmental
groups when it comes to information requests. They are comparing the behavior
to that of the IRS in giving additional scrutiny to Tea Party organizations.
A
letter was sent by Republican Senators David Vitter (R-LA), Jim Inhofe (R-OK),
and Chuck Grassley (R-IA) along with Representative Darrell Issa (R-CA) to
Acting EPA Administrator Bob Perciasepe last Friday. They have accused the
agency of continuing to make conservative think tanks and state and local
governments pay full price for obtaining documents under the Freedom of
Information Act (FOIA), but routinely waiving those fees for environmental
groups. “This
disparate treatment is unacceptable, especially in light of the recent
controversy over abusive tactics at the Internal Revenue Service, which singled
out conservative groups for special scrutiny,” the legislators wrote.
They
specifically pointed out that, according to the data, ninety-two percent of fee
waivers granted by the EPA were requests from environmental groups. “The startling disparity in treatment strongly suggests
EPA’s actions are possibly part of a broader effort to collude with groups that
share the agency’s political agenda and discriminate against states and
conservative organizations,” they alleged. “This is a clear abuse of discretion.”
They did want to make clear
that there was no problem is issuing fee waivers and stated, “Congress provided a mechanism
for FOIA requesters to obtain a fee waiver in an effort to promote public
access to information. An agency may grant a fee waivers if the requested
information is likely to contribute to the public understanding of governmental
operations and activities, and if the requested information is not in the
commercial interests of the requester. A key factor in qualifying for a fee
waiver is the requester’s ability to convey information to other interested
members of the public. For this reason, representatives of the news media, and
educational or noncommercial scientific institutions whose purpose is scholarly
or scientific research, should receive a fee waiver. Moreover, any requester
may obtain a fee waiver if the information requested will aid the public in
understanding the operations or activities of the government. Overall, it is
critical that agencies make these determinations in an impartial and unbiased
way.” The committee reviewed
over 1,200 pages of EPA correspondence between January 1, 2012 and April 26,
2013 and discovered that the EPA “manipulated the FOIA fee waiver process. This
has Democrats worried. As Julian Hattem writes, “President Obama’s nominee to
lead the EPA, Gina McCarthy, advanced out of committee on a party line vote on
Thursday, but Democrats worry about a Republican filibuster on the Senate
floor.“

Sen.
Vitter: “Offensive for Washington to Make Taxpayers Pay for Free Cellphones for
Others”
Sen.
David Vitter (R-La.) and TracFone Wireless, a pre-paid cellphone carrier, are
hurling accusations at each other over a federal phone subsidy program for the
poor. The company has claimed that Vitter is trying to gut a program that was
“born out of” Hurricane Katrina, while Vitter has accused TracFone of profiting
from a wasteful government hand-out. The program, called “Lifeline,”
has been pejoratively referred to as the “Obama phone” program, although it
began long before Obama took office. It had its genesis as a subsidy for
landline phones in 1985 and expanded to cover cellphones in 2008, during
the George W. Bush administration. The spat began when Vitter and other GOP
senators introduced a bill earlier this month to end a provision that relates
to the cellphones portion of the fund.
“This phone program has expanded far beyond
its original intent, and as so many middle class Americans struggle underneath
this economy, it is really offensive for Washington to make taxpayers pay for
free cellphones for others,” Vitter said in a statement when he offered the
bill.
The
program, which is managed by the Federal Communications Commission, subsidizes
phone service, not the phones themselves. But many companies that receive
funding through the program offer free and low-cost phones to their
subscribers. The program is funded through fees that the telephone companies pass on
to consumers on their monthly bills, not taxes. That
means you!

U.S.
Military: We Could Have Saved Ambassador Stevens
Elite
U.S. troops were completely capable of saving Ambassador Chris Stevens during
the Benghazi Consulate attacks on September 11, 2012. Elements of the
highly specialized Combatant Commanders In-Extremis (CIF) units are
always on alert, on forward deployment, ready to respond. Their
job description is to hit the ground in 3 to 5 hours. CIF elements are
ready to engage in active combat anywhere in their region, 3 to 5 hours after
the call. Standard military doctrine is to activate all such resources
immediately, even if they are ultimately not used. Military’s plans
require getting such teams in the air and on the way, not
waiting to see if they will be needed.

Host Compares Gitmo Detainees to American Slaves by Breitbart News
Another demonstration
of the insanity of liberals. They will never
learn that evil exists and that you cannot make nice with evil. The only thing
you can do to evil is to defeat it and contain it. Liberals should go have a
meal with terrorists and see if they get out of their alive. It’s time we remember that if you’re not
with us, you’re against us. Liberals are against us.
Sunday on MSNBC, host
Melissa Harris-Perry compared Guantanamo Bay detainees to American slaves
during the 19th century. “This is the
time to reaffirm our Americanness,” she said in response to a hunger
strike by the terror suspects. She continued: “I also appreciate that the hunger strikers
are not trying to die. They’re trying to generate autonomy in the context of
something that strips their humanity – something we certainly know about from
the experience of American slavery. And that the language of before I would be
a slave, I’d be buried in my grave and go home to my Lord and be free. Just
that idea of creating human freedom within the context of horrible human
conditions.”

Internet
Forces Global Warming into Retreat? By Anthony Wile
Principia-Scientific.org
is a site aimed at restoring legitimate scientific principles to the world. On
its front page you'll find exposes of the "fossil fuel" fraud (we've
written a lot about that) and, of course, global warming, among other rebuttals
of "dominant social themes." Principia
Scientific and other such websites are doing important work to support and
buttress the scientific method, which is surely under attack in this day and
age. This phenomenon is little commented on, even in the alternative press, and
so I want to take the time in this column to do so. Nothing is much more important, in my view,
than maintaining and supporting the validity of the scientific method, the idea
of producing verifiable information that can be used to facilitate real social
and cultural progress. And
the good news is that this website is only one of many aimed at debunking
incorrect information that circulates around the world today and is too often
used to create certain kinds of political consensus. In fact, these
themes – or memes – are generated by those who want to further their world
control and are using various international organizations like the United
Nations, World Bank and IMF to do so. In order to actuate such promotions, you
need a crisis. Enter global warming, Peak Oil, food
and water scarcity, etc.
Anything
that gets people riled up and calling for expanded government intervention and
"leadership" from sociopathic politicos and other rulers is to be
utilized for this purpose. When a crisis isn't available, one is made up. And
most of them are made up, if not all. We don't need endless amounts of
evidence to make this claim. We simply need what the Internet provides, which
is a devastating portrayal of undeniable mechanical meretriciousness.
Lies, in other words. The Internet is a miracle because in one day you
can look at as many articles and videos as you might be able to find in a year,
pre-technology. Obscure articles, original source material and rare books are all
available despite the best efforts of various gatekeepers to scour the Internet
of material that contradicts the common wisdom. Today, for instance,
Principia Scientific is featuring an article entitled "Exposed: Academic
Fraud in New Climate Science Consensus Claim." The article begins:
Authors
of a new climate science consensus study trumpeted by mainstream media hacks
for "proving" that most scientists blame humans for global warming
are today being accused of fakery. Uproar ensued just days after publication of
a controversial paper, 'Quantifying the consensus on anthropogenic global
warming in the scientific literature.'
Experts whose work was cited in the paper by lead
author, John Cook ... are aghast that their work has been used to justify
far-fetched claims that there exists a "97% consensus" among
scientists regarding human-caused global warming. Among those upset scientists
cited in the new paper is Dr. Craig
Idso. Idso reacted: "That is not an accurate representation of my
paper."
"Once celebrated climate researchers are
feeling like the used-car salesmen" and the magazine noted that "some
of IPCC's most-quoted data and recommendations were taken straight out of
unchecked activist brochures, newspaper articles...Just as damaging, many
climate scientists have responded to critiques by questioning the integrity of
their critics, rather than by supplying data and reasoned arguments." For full list of Climategate related
scandals See: Climate Scandals: List Of 94 Climate-Gates — 94 climate-gates
total — 28 new gates — 145 links to reports with details.
This
excerpt provides us with an important observation. The UN's IPCC is supposedly the
leading authority on global warming but it turned out that much of the data and
reports offered to the world's scientific community by the IPCC were simply
lifted from newspaper and magazine reporting and positioned to suggest these
provided a scientific foundation for global warming when they did not.
A
scandal of this size, showing that a good deal of IPCC documentation was
worthless, would have sunk almost any other hypothesis. But we do not live in a
scientific age and the aim and intention of global warming is political.
For
instance, Principia Scientific also published an article entitled "New
Discovery: NASA
Study Proves Carbon
Dioxide Cools Atmosphere." Here's how it began:
... A recent NASA
report throws the space agency into conflict with its climatologists after new
NASA measurements prove that carbon dioxide acts as a coolant in Earth's
atmosphere. NASA's Langley Research Center has collated data proving that
"greenhouse gases" actually block up to 95 percent of harmful solar
rays from reaching our planet, thus reducing the heating impact of the sun.
The data was collected by Sounding of the
Atmosphere using Broadband Emission Radiometry, (or SABER). SABER monitors
infrared emissions from Earth's upper atmosphere, in particular from carbon
dioxide (CO2) and nitric oxide (NO), two substances thought to be playing a key
role in the energy balance of air above our planet's surface. NASA's
Langley Research Center instruments show that the thermosphere not only
received a whopping 26 billion kilowatt hours of energy from the sun during a
recent burst of solar activity, but that in the upper atmospheric carbon
dioxide and nitrous oxide molecules sent as much as 95% of that radiation
straight back out into space. The shock revelation starkly contradicts the core
proposition of the so-called greenhouse gas theory which claims that more CO2
means more warming for our planet. Reestablishing
science and the validity of the scientific method is not an easy effort but it
is one of the great and compelling tasks of our time and worth fighting for.
The West's quality of life and retention of prosperity in part depends on the
outcome of this struggle.
