Michelle’s Big B-Day Bash - Sequester be Damned!
This week the Obama administration announced
that due to the awful, terrible, nasty, horrible sequestration, they would have
to shut down the White House tours for the public. The same week, a White House
source told the Daily Mail that
Michelle Obama was planning a birthday blowout for her 50th. In
attendance: Adele and Beyonce. The White House did say that the Obamas would
pay for the party. But that’s highly
unlikely – it’s supposed to take place at the White House, which requires
Secret Service protection, high-class dining, and all the fringe benefits. The
White House website currently carries a populist quote from Michelle Obama: “It’s the ‘People’s House.’
It’s a place that is steeped in history, but it’s also a place where everyone
should feel welcome. And that’s why my husband and I have made it our mission
to open up the house to as many people as we can.” Unless those people
don’t earn several million dollars per year for singing. Then they can stick
it. The media has largely ignored this
rather obvious example of Obama hypocrisy. Why? Because to point out the
fact that Barack and Michelle are elitists would undercut the
leftist narrative that they represent the people, while the
Republican Party represents the 1%. A cursory look
at reality shows precisely the opposite: Washington, D.C. Democrats like Barack
and Michelle prefer to hang with the jet set, introduce nominations at the
Academy Awards, golf with Tiger, and shop in Europe – all while claiming to be
the voices of the people. They tax everyday Americans in the
name of fairness, then claim that they’re truly taxing the top earners. From the Man Who Would be Kink; except for
the Constitution which he hates!

Government Agency Asks Volunteers to Wear Wristbands To
Remind Them Of White Privilege
P. D. James said: “I believe that political
correctness can be a form of linguistic fascism, and it sends shivers down the
spine of my generation who went to war against fascism.” Of all the things in
this world that annoy me—and there are many—political correctness ranks quite
near the top. Political correctness
falsely dictates what can and cannot be said; it falsely dictates who is in
a position of weakness and who is not; and it demands that everyone play
by rules that are as strange as they are convoluted. According to
cnsnews.com:
“The Wisconsin
Department of Public Instruction (DPI) wants its white VISTA volunteers who
work with low-income, racially diverse public schools to examine the
“privilege” their Caucasian race confers on them.”
Now, on its face—though slightly comical—it
makes sense to understand where you come from, versus where others come from. To have a fully rounded world view, we must
understand our differences. Sounds reasonable enough. Well, that’s only the
beginning. cnsnews.com also notes that the DPI website encourages white people
to:
“Wear a
white wristband as a reminder about your privilege, and as a personal
commitment to explain why you wear the wristband…Set aside sections of the day
to critically examine how privilege is working…Find a person of color who is
willing to hold you accountable for addressing privilege”
What—if I may ask without being politically
incorrect–does any of this have to do with volunteer work in public schools? Sure, the schools are apparently racially
diverse; but what does constantly reminding white people of their “privilege”
do to help?

Massachusetts officials want to lift cap on charter
schools due to their stunning success
Massachusetts’ charter school students are
outperforming their public school peers by such a wide margin that pair of
Democratic lawmakers are intensifying their push to lift the state’s charter
school cap. Stanford
University’s Center for Research on Education Outcomes finds that charter
school students in The Bay State receive 1.5 months of additional learning in
reading and 2.5 months of extra learning in math during the course of an academic
year, compared with their counterparts in government-run schools. The
differences among Boston’s K-12 students are even more striking. “Charter
students in Boston gain an additional 12 months in reading and 13 months in
math per school year compared to their TPS [traditional public school]
counterparts,” the Stanford study reports. The findings are so conclusive that
two Democratic lawmakers – state Sen. Barry Finegold and state Rep. Russell
Holmes – want to lift the state’s cap on how many charter schools are allowed
to set up shop in lower-performing districts.

Obama Administration Plans to Cut Medicare Advantage
Reimbursements
By
Matt Cover
The Obama administration is planning new cuts
to Medicare, a federal regulatory filing reveals, cuts that could mean higher
premiums or seniors losing their coverage altogether. The new cuts come in the
form of a planned reduction in the reimbursement rates the government pays to
insurance companies that operate Medicare Advantage plans, which are services
administered by private for-profit or non-profit providers that offer
additional services than can be found in traditional Medicare. In a Feb. 15
regulatory filing, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced
the surprised rate cuts of 2.3 percent – meaning it would pay health care
providers 2.3 percent less for providing services to patients. CMS said it was
cutting payments because it foresaw the overall costs of the Medicare Advantage
program shrinking by 3.2 percent, despite the fact that health care costs – the
driver of all federal health care program costs – are only rising.

Congressional Black Caucus Urges Barack Obama to
Discriminate Against Whites by Chris Graham
Congressional Black Caucus to President
Barack Obama – “The people you have chosen to appoint in this new term have
hardly been reflective of this country’s diversity.” So said Marcia L. Fudge, oblivious to the irony that such a statement
would be coming from her; she’s the chairwoman of the Congressional Black
Caucus, a group the diversity of whose members ranges from light-skinned black
to dark-skinned black. That is the extent of the level of diversity within
the CBC. Even the Congressional Hispanic
Caucus has more diversity. Visit the CHC’s Wikipedia page and click on each of
the pages for the 21 current members (all of whom are Democrats, by the way, as
only a Democrat would be so segregationist). You will find that at least half
of them look white. The only thing Hispanic about them is that their names
sound like Taco Bell meals. (I can say that because I’m part Cuban.) And if you look at the Congressional
White Caucus, you’ll find–oh,
wait, never mind I forgot that a Congressional White Caucus doesn’t
exist. For one, white people don’t have such privilege, and two, white people–or
at least the Republican ones–don’t wish to segregate themselves off from other
races. Marcia Fudge, who does engage in such segregation, feels
offended that President Obama hasn’t nominated anyone to any cabinet positions
who can “speak to the unique needs of African Americans.” She wrote a letter to
Obama to express her racist desire for Obama to start discriminating against
whites. Because the rep said President Barack Obama is committed to
diversity, we can deduce that “ensuring his Administration reflects the breadth
of our country” means ensuring every racial group is featured in proportion to
its demographics in the country. If this were really President Obama’s goal–and
of course it should not be, and I don’t believe it is–every group of 100 people in his administration would consist of 72
whites, 13 blacks, 5 Asians, and one lone Elizabeth Warren (Native American). Come on, we have to laugh at our silliness!

Balanced Budget: Only for People Who Actually Work for a
Living
by Gary
DeMar
Here’s what President Obama said about a
balanced budget for government:
“My goal is not to
chase a balanced budget just for the sake of balance. My goal is, how do we
grow the economy, put people back to work. And if we do that we are going to be
bringing in more revenue.”
Let’s say you have a business checking
account. Each month you spend more than you take in. In time, you are
overdrawn. You have spent more than what’s in the account. Your bank calls and
requires you to add money to the account in order to cover the checks you’ve
written. You say the following:
“My goal is not to
chase a balanced budget checking account just for the sake of balance. My goal
is to grow my business, hire more people. And if I do that, I’ll be bringing in
more revenue.” “That’s all well and good,” the
bank manager tells you, “but not with our money. For what you want to do,
you’ll need a loan. But given your poor accounting practices and deficit
spending, we would not be able to loan you any money. Until you replenish your
checking account, you will be charged significant penalties.”
This is how the real world works. You and I
don’t have the luxury to spend more money than we earn. If we do, we’re most
likely going to lose our house, cars, and other possessions, and maybe even go
to jail.
Governments can get away with
deficit spending because they can take money from people who actually earn
money (taxation), or when the political cost of raising taxes gets too high,
they can print money.

World poll: Image of U.S. declines By KEVIN CIRILLI
Worldwide
approval of U.S. leadership dipped considerably during President Barack Obama’s
fourth year in office — but it increased in some countries, including Mexico,
according to a poll Wednesday. The median approval rating for U.S. leadership for 130 countries was 41
percent in 2012, down 8 percentage points from the 49 percent approval during
Obama’s first year in office, Gallup found - noting the America’s standing
is still generally higher than it was during President George W. Bush’s final
years in office. “This shift suggests
that the president and the new secretary of state may not find global audiences
as receptive to the U.S. agenda as they have in the past. In fact, they may
even find even once-warm audiences increasingly critical,” Gallup’s Julie
Ray wrote.

Proposed Dem Budget Increases Spending 62% Over Next
Decade •
By DANIEL HALPER
Senator Patty Murray, the Democratic chair of
the Senate Budget Committee, finally released a budget today. Year over year, in this proposed budget,
spending jumps dramatically.
For
instance, from this year's budget to next year's proposed budget, spending
would increase by $162 billion. This year, the federal government will spend
$3.599 trillion; under Murray's budget,
the federal government would be on track to spend even more. Over the next
decade, spending under Murray's budget would increase by 62 percent. Here's a
chart from the Republican side of the Senate Budget Committee detailing the
increase in spending over the next decade:
So what planet do these idiots live on? With the shrillness of the debate, even the
low information voter has to see this as a bust! As the chart shows,
the budget would increase a bit each year, under the Democratic plan. "Murray’s
budget spends $2.2 trillion more in 2023 (the last year of the budget window)
than the 2013 levels – a 62% increase (significantly outpacing
inflation)," says a staff member on the Republican side of the Senate
Budget Committee. In an interview that aired earlier today, President Obama said, "[W]e don’t have an immediate crisis
in terms of debt. In fact, for the next ten years, it’s gonna be in a
sustainable place." Obama has not released his own budget yet.

There are actually two messages here.
The first is very interesting, but the second is absolutely astounding - and
explains a lot. A recent "Investor's Business Daily" article
provided very interesting statistics from a survey by the United Nations
