43% Support Hagel Confirmation, 37% Oppose
Support for Senator Charles “Chuck” Hagel, President Obama’s nominee to
be secretary of Defense, is down slightly, although most voters still feel he
is likely to be confirmed for the high-level Cabinet position. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone
survey finds that only 28% of Likely U.S. Voters now hold a favorable opinion
of Hagel while 38% view him unfavorably. Still, 35% of voters don’t know enough
about Hagel to venture any kind of opinion, and that’s unchanged from earlier
this month.

John McCain Snaps at David Gregory Over Benghazi: ‘Do You
Care Whether Or Not Four Americans Died?’
Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) asked an armor piercing question in the midst of
some contentious crosstalk on today’s edition of “Meet the Press.” After being
asked by host David Gregory what the scandal in Benghazi would be “if the worst
thing were true,” McCain said he didn’t know the answer to that question, but
wanted answers to other open inquiries anyway. “We have had a massive
cover-up on the part of the administration…” McCain began, before Gregory
started pushing back in response. “A massive cover up of what?” Gregory asked.
“Susan Rice said there was a lot of confusion…”
Before Gregory
could finish his question, McCain snapped, “Do you care, David? Do you care,
David? I’m asking you, do you care whether four Americans died? The reasons for
that? And shouldn’t people be held accountable for the fact that four Americans
died, including a very dear man?” “A cover-up of what?” Gregory persisted. “Of
the information concerning the deaths of four brave Americans,” McCain said.

“It’s the Culture, Stupid!” –What the War on Guns Is Really About By Nick Taxia
Okay, I give
up! I can’t find the politically correct way of saying it. I
cannot find the fluffy adjectives and velvet phrases. I have thought over
and over of a way to say the following without sounding like some paranoid,
racist, knuckle-dragging “Ruby Ridge” nutcase, yet find myself at a loss, for
there are very few ways of saying it: this
current “war on guns” is really a war on anything that smacks of “White, male,
rugged ruralism”… and the more Christian the better. This
is what the Left is ultimately after; what it ultimately detests. It
is its mortal enemy. And this is what this war on guns is about,
point-blank (no pun intended).
Shwoo! There. I said it. And no, my liberal
friends, I have dated and loved/love people of every color of the rainbow, so
don’t even think of accusing me of being some Randy Weaver nutcase — but
that’s the point: the Left has construed this “conversation” about guns to such
a degree that stating what it is really about leaves any honest, critically
thinking person with no other choice
but to sound like some nutty White separatist type. And I hate it. I hate saying there is a cultural war from mainly urban-dwelling, over-educated,
secular, conceited and oh-so “hip” liberal elites against their perceived polar
opposites (the presumably less educated, rural-dwelling, conservative, more
masculine, more pious, and predominately Caucasian areas —“fly-over country” as
it’s called). I hate saying that the
emaciated, androgynous yuppie next to me in the Starbucks in downtown
Washington is “at war” with the 50-year-old husband and father 30 miles to the
south of us who owns guns, obeys the law, has distinct notions of “right and
wrong,” comes home from work with muddy boots, attends church and speaks with a
rural accent … I hate saying all of this. Also,
and let’s be honest, I have inadvertently and unfortunately spoken to the likes
of the filth and human debris of White supremacist websites and organizations.
But this is not some Randy Weaver-ish tirade about “all them Jews and coloreds”
that are out to get me. It’s really the White, 30-something hipster in my
local Starbucks that’s out to get me. This is about a culture, and a
“culture” needn’t be restricted by race or creed. Realize what this “war on guns” is
really a war on. To twist the famous phrase from the great
political strategist, James Carville: “It’s
the culture, stupid!” Too bad that culture sprang from
predominantly European, male, rural, heterosexual Christians.
Maybe we should take a page from the NRA’s Wayne LaPierre and convert to
Islam…

Colorado Democrat: Women Don’t Need Guns If They ‘Feel
Like They’re Going To Be Raped’ *UPDATED
By: Dana Loesch
Chill, women, says Colorado Democrat Rep. Joe
Salazar. While arguing for the disarmament of college students, Salazar says
that even if women feel like they’re going to be raped, they may not, so who
needs a firearm for protection? Said Salazar:
“It’s why we have call boxes, it’s why we have safe
zones, it’s why we have the whistles. Because you just don’t know who you’re
gonna be shooting at. And you don’t know if you feel like you’re gonna be
raped, or if you feel like someone’s been following you around or if you feel
like you’re in trouble when you may actually not be, that you pop out that gun
and you pop … pop a round at somebody.”
This is the real “war on women” I’ve talked
about: the progressive insistence that women disarm. Women, according to Rep.
Salazar, are hysterical things which shoot indiscriminately at any and
everything.
Some statistics, My emphasis:
In the vast majority of those self-defense cases, the
citizen will only brandish the gun or fire a warning shot. In less than 8% of
those self-defense cases will the citizen will even wound his attacker.
Over 1.9 million of those self-defense cases involve handguns. As many as 500,000 of those self-defense cases occur away from home. Almost 10% of those self-defense cases are women defending themselves against sexual assault or abuse.

This “feel like you’re going to be raped”
nonsense is as poorly-worded as the “shut that whole thing down” drama from
last fall. If Democrats don’t swiftly condemn this, I see this used as a tactic
to showcase the vast lack of respect Democrats have for a woman’s right to self
defense. If Salazar was truly sensitive
to the dangers we face then he would understand how statistics do not work in
our favor — unless we level the playing field by exercising our Second
Amendment right. Salazar also doesn’t explain his insinuation that women
basically ditzes who are incapable of proper reasoning and capable of handling
firearms, in fact, he backhandedly defends it by saying it was
a justifiable example for his prejudice against women’s defense. Salazar claims to have a record of defending
women’s rights but his actions to disenfranchise them of their Second Amendment
rights are completely contradictory to that claim. One in four collegiate
women report rape and one in five are raped. Salazar wants to deprive women of
their right to defense with these odds? Just blow your rape whistles and pray
that an attacker represents the “safe zone” boundaries? The best apology is a
reversal of his war on women.

Man Stuff: Boys, Guns and Sissified Windbags by Pete Parker
The Left is laboring assiduously to indoctrinate an
entire generation of young boys to believe the following: Guns are evil. And
fruits of this treacherous tutoring will be evident 15 to 20 years from now
when the US Marine Corps can’t find a single male recruit. If
such nefarious trends continue — our most potent military weapon in the future
will be a platoon of women armed with contraceptives.
Can anyone say
Semper Fem? Sadly — the national debate
over guns is mired in the dogmatic swamps of leftist BS by those who believe a
rifle is not only the lapdog of the devil — but also a lethal proxy p----. It is due time to take back the debate from
these insidiously warped and sissified windbags who are clearly suffering from
unhinged gun-o-phobia. Lest we forget
— guns in the hands of responsible and honorable men have produced much good
fruit. From the Minuteman to the Navy SEAL to the husband/father protecting his
castle — firearms have been used to defeat tyrants, despots and invaders.
"Just a thought about giving up
your guns - Participating in a gun buy-back program because you believe that
the criminals have too many guns is like having yourself castrated because you
believe that the neighbors have too many kids!"
And without these
God given instruments of self-preservation — America would not be “the land of
the free” — but rather the subjugated colony of a vast European power, or
perhaps a desolate outpost in a global Islamic hegemony.
George Washington
realized the explicit relevance of guns when he stated:
They
[guns] are the American people’s liberty teeth and keystone under independence
… The very atmosphere of firearms anywhere and everywhere restrains evil
interference; they deserve a place of honor with all that’s good. When firearms
go, all goes; we need them every hour.”
So — when it comes to the issue of guns — we must let it
be known on every polemical level that the Left’s views are antithetical to
traditional American values, thought and history.
So — when it comes to the
issue of guns — we must let it be known on every polemical level that the
Left’s views are antithetical to traditional American values, thought and
history. In doing so — we unshackle an entire generation of young
boys from the throes of perverted left-wing ethos and allow them to once again
point their fingers on the playground and shout: BANG!

What to Make of “If Newtown Shooter Killed Black Kids We
Probably Wouldn’t Be Talking About Guns”
byGary DeMar
MSNBCs Toure Neblett, who is black, made the following
racially charged and ignorant claim last week:
“If Adam Lanza had walked into a black
public school in this mythical South Brooklyn or in the Southside of Chicago,
we would probably not be having a sustained national conversation about guns.”
Most mass shootings
in the United States have been committed against white people by white people. If America is so racist, why don’t we see
mass shootings of black children? We just went through the ordeal of a
black former policeman from Los Angeles who went on a vindictive killing spree.
Then there was John Allen Muhammad who was the 2002 Beltway sniper. He murdered
at least 10 people. Blacks have been killing other blacks and few black leaders
and black spokesmen like Toure Neblett say much about it. More blacks are murdered by other
blacks than whites kill blacks. Black-on-black crime is pandemic in America’s
big cities with large black populations. “A 2007 special report
released by the Bureau of Justice Statistics, reveals
that approximately 8,000 — and, in certain years, as many as 9,000 African
Americans are murdered annually in the United States. This chilling figure is
accompanied by another equally sobering fact, that 93% of these murders are in
fact perpetrated by other blacks. The analysis, supported by FBI records,
finds that in 2005 alone, for example, African Americans accounted for 49% of
all homicide victims in the US — again, almost exclusively at the hands of
other African Americans.” Why are these statistics ignored? Why don’t we hear anything from Al
Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and the former slave Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee on this
issue? It’s because the numbers don’t fit the liberal race-baiting narrative
that demands more government money be spent on the very people who are harmed
by these government programs. Without these disenfranchised, welfare-trapped
voters, liberals could not get elected.

Disgusting Leftist Marc Lamont Hill Compares Cop Killer to a ‘Super Hero’ By Doug Giles
Nothing really
stuns me anymore about the Left and their lunacy. That was until this week when soulless Columbia professor Marc Lamont
Hill appeared on CNN and got giddy about cop killer Chris Dorner. Hill
said Dorner’s murderous revenge spree was “exciting,” and was like Jamie Foxx’s
character in Tarantino’s latest flick, D’jango Unchained. Hill doubled
down on his stupidity during the same interview by stating Chris’ homicidal
orgy was akin to the exploits of a “super hero.” I was speechless when I heard
such vomit roll off that quack’s tongue.
In contrast, Dorner’s mother, Nancy Dorner, expressed condolences
for the victims in a statement given to Robin Sax at Fox 11 Los Angeles.
“It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we express our deepest
sympathies and condolences to anyone that suffered losses or injuries resulting
from Christopher’s actions. We do not condone Christopher’s actions.” Note, those closest to Chris didn’t
commiserate with/for him but rather for those who were ruthlessly killed. Marc
Lamont, eh … not so much. His capital lay with Chris. In my book, Hill
jumped the shark with those comments and I hope that all of what’s left of
legitimate talent bookers on the various networks treat him like the plague. Like a Rottweiler with rabies. Hill is
unbelievably disgusting. Can you imagine someone of a conservative stripe
stating that James Holmes’ melee in Aurora was titillating, understandable and
smacked of a heroism? Huh? Holmes had a manifesto, is he cool too, Marc? And
what about Cho Seung-Hui, Mr. Hill? Is he like Bruce Lee or Jackie Chan? I
mean, he also drafted docs explaining why he “had” to frickin’ destroy three
dozen college students’ lives at Virginia Tech.
Oh, and I almost forgot: what about Adam Lanza? Is he a super hero? Is
he “Kick Ass”? I mean … he might have been an offended twenty-something of
divorced parents, daddy didn’t love him, the color yellow made him sad or his
friends made fun of him on Facebook for his Three Stooges haircut.
Should we give Lanza faint praise and cut him some slack for his senseless
massacre of six year olds at Sandy Hook because of possible and plausible
offenses, huh, Marc?
Here’s
my prediction: as long as Hollywood celebrates revenge murders and the likes of
CNN keep putting clowns like Hill on TV, we will continue to see whiners shoot
up innocent civilians in hopes that jerks like Lamont will sympathize on TV for
their murderous plight and make ‘em posthumous heroes.
However, if our
culture and our commentators uniformly condemn such actions, the clowns who
praise them and the pathetic losers that carry them out, I’m a-guessin’ we
could see a reduction in the senseless slaughter of innocent people. We could
call it a High Capacity Idiot Ban. Finally,
I hope to God that families of those murdered by Dorner didn’t hear that BS
roll off Hill’s tongue. I cannot imagine the grief they’re going through now
accentuated by such callous and calamitous comments

Ohio State Professor Praises Soviet Union & Murder
for Gender Equality
OSU Professor: God
bless the USSR’s low murder rates, absence of violence Randolph Roth, a History
professor at Ohio State University, recently gave a controversial talk. He was
supposed to discuss his new book, but decided to preach his hate for gun owners
and Republicans, while advocating for higher taxes and bigger government. Our
reporter caught the professor on video stating his belief that gun owners are
“afraid” and “motivated by anger.” Roth stated that AR-15s “facilitate mass
murder” and are used to “blow things up.” There is video of Roth comparing
Republicans to Confederates and apes. The professor also praised liberal media
indoctrination, Soviet-style big government and gun control, and directly
stated his belief that “if [women] want to get rid of this gender business,
you’ve got to start killing Watch here...
