Israel Blamed For Defending Itself - Newt Gingrich
The escalating violence between Israel and Hamas in Gaza is providing a perfect example of the false moral equivalence that profoundly threatens the state of Israel. For more than a decade, millions of Israelis have lived under the constant threat of rocket attacks. Thousands of rockets have rained down on towns of peaceful citizens. In one day at the end of October, militants in the Gaza strip fired more than 65 rockets into Israeli civilian populations.  On Wednesday, the Israeli military took action to dismantle this threat. It did what the American military does routinely: assassinated a terrorist with a drone strike. The man, Ahmed Jabari, was a senior member of the military wing of Hamas, the terrorist group risen to government power in Gaza. He was responsible for numerous numerous acts of violence against Israelis.
Militants in Gaza responded with a barrage of hundreds of rockets on Israeli civilians, killing at least three and injuring several others. Israel then launched a mission to destroy dozens of launch sites that it had identified in the Gaza strip. Satellite imagery released by the military shows that often militants had attempted to shield these sites by placing them next to civilian locations suchs as apartment buildings, mosques, and markets.  Today, forces in Gaza launched a long range rocket (possibly supplied by the Iranians) capable of hitting Jerusalem or Tel Aviv. It hit a settlement just south of Jerusalem, Gush Etzion. Yesterday another rocket reached the Tel Aviv area for the first time since 1991.  And what is the response of the UN Secretary General to Israel’s self-defense in the face of a decade of rocket attacks, a million people driven into shelter this week by the barrage, and long range missile strikes close to Jerusalem and Tel Aviv?  “Israel must exercise maximum restraint.” That is what his spokesman told reporters today. The Secretary General “urgently appeals to all concerned to do everything under their command to stop this dangerous escalation and restore calm. Rocket attacks are unacceptable and must stop at once. Israel must exercise maximum restraint.” The dishonesty of this moral equivalency is stunning. Militants and terrorists launch thousands of rockets into Israel, killing or injuring dozens of its citizens. Israel, a sovereign country with an obligation to defend and protect its people, acts to destroy these launch sites, which the militants hid intentionally among civilians, and the UN responds as though Israel is guilty of reckless violence.  How can there be a peace process under a discourse that affords a terrorist group diplomatic status and calls for “restraint” in the self-defense of a sovereign country? The United States should formally protest the UN's one-sided statement.

The Republican Party Needs A Reset On Immigration by Jerry Bowyer
Since the Romney/Ryan ticket’s loss last Tuesday, the Republican Party has been going through a period of soul searching.  Much of that is useless propaganda about how the party needs to move to the ‘center’ (whatever that is) on its tax-cutting growth agenda. But some of it is a genuinely helpful re-examination of the GOP’s relationship with immigrants and immigrant voter groups. This is a helpful but small step in the right direction. Liberalization of immigration laws was a theme of this column before the election (and a theme of this columnist for many years before). In order to foster more discussion of this issue, we reproduce below an article which appeared in the print edition of Forbes in September of this year.  I add this exhortation to my GOP brethren: If you see your problem with immigrants as merely one of marketing, then you will not succeed. The nativist wing of the party is not just politically inconvenient, it is morally and economically wrong. The point is not to capitulate to political necessity; the point is to have the right policy. The right policy is a growing economy, non-burdensome immigration laws, a welfare system which promotes work, not dependency, and a culture of assimilation, not isolation.  Latinos are religious, morally conservative and tend disproportionately to join the military and start businesses. They are natural members of the conservative coalition. Nevertheless, some of the loudest voices in the conservative movement are advocating that Latinos here illegally should be forced from the country. Big-government skeptics are oddly clamoring for something that only big government could accomplish.  Expelling 15 million people against their will would constitute the largest forced migration in American history. No one has ever forcibly moved that many people without concentration camps and mass death through plague. If there’s another way to do it, please show me a historical example. What I hear is slogans like “What part of ‘illegal’ don’t you understand?” Slogans move callers to dial in to talk radio, but they don’t move millions voluntarily back into poverty and squalor. That is done by unhappy soldiers manning “hell ships” like the Mercurio, which was used to deport masses of Mexicans during “Operation Wetback,” our last and much smaller deportation attempt, which ended with the soldiers committing mutiny. In the end, you either let the bulk of them stay or herd them out. If you want to call the former amnesty, go ahead. Continue Reading

59% Favor A Welcoming Immigration Policy
Most voters continue to welcome newcomers to this country as long as they pose no threat to public safety. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 59% of Likely U.S. Voters believe the goal of immigration policy should be to keep out only criminals, national security threats and those who come here to live off the welfare system.

Ailes: Fox Has ‘No Agenda’ in Covering Obama
Roger Ailes, the chairman and CEO of Fox News Channel and chairman of the Fox Television Stations Group, said on Friday that Fox had “no agenda” in its coverage of President Barack Obama.
“It’s day to day for us,” Ailes told the TVNewser website. “We don’t — I know no one believes it — we have no agenda. “If he runs into a burning building tomorrow and saves four kids, he’s gonna be the biggest goddamn hero Fox News ever saw. But if he leaves four guys behind on the battlefield but can’t explain it, then he’s gonna have a problem with Fox News.” “I don’t mind praising the guy and I don’t mind questioning the guy,” Ailes said. “It’s day to day.” The frigid relationship between Fox and the Obama White House is well known, TVNewser reports.

Woman in Petraeus scandal visited White House
WASHINGTON (AP) — The two women at the center of the David Petraeus scandal — the biographer with whom he had an extramarital affair and the socialite who received worrisome emails that led investigators to uncover the illicit relationship — visited the White House on separate and apparently unrelated occasions. Neither woman met with President Barack Obama during their visits. Petraeus resigned as CIA director last week after acknowledging an affair with writer Paula Broadwell. In briefings Friday with lawmakers on Capitol Hill, the retired four-star general was apologetic and regretful and insisted that his resignation was related only to his personal behavior. Paula Broadwell, who was writing a book about Petraeus and eventually became his paramour, attended meetings in June 2009 and June 2011 on Afghanistan-Pakistan policy in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, which is located in the White House complex, a White House official said

Perfect Quote: Some people have the vocabulary to sum up things in a way that you can quickly understand them.
This quote came from the Czech Republic. Someone over there has it figured out. It was translated into English from an article in the Prague newspaper Prager Zeitungon. "The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools, such as those who made him their president."

GOP Congressman: Obama Can't Utter The Words 'Muslim Terrorist Attack'
Republican Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (CA) is not backing down from his recent criticism of President Obama and on his appearance on FOX News' "On the Record" he took it a step further saying Obama can't force the words 'Muslim Terrorist Attack' out of his mouth.  What's new? A president openly lies to the American people on an important matter, and we are to give him a pass?

TSA Unionized – Americans Screwed by Tim Brown
On November 9, 2012 the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) issued a press release indicating that “Workers at the Transportation Security Administration made history today when they voted to ratify the first-ever collective bargaining agreement at the agency. The agreement between the American Federation of Government Employees and TSA was ratified with a vote of 17,326-1,774.”
The AFGE represents over 650,000 employees of the federal government. It is the largest union for non-postal federal employees and the largest union for D.C. workers who report directly to the mayor.
Brian Koenig writes that the AFGE “coerces members to fork over between $14 and $16 out of each paycheck, providing the organization with up to $16 million more in revenue per year. Portions of this influx of money will go to subsidizing Democratic election campaigns and funding a number of liberal agendas.” Koenig went on to claim that the “union doled out $2 million on lobbying to the government largely to guarantee that federal employees get paid more to work less.”  It has been demonstrated over and over just how ineffective the TSA is and how it is constantly infiltrated by illegal's, thieves, and perverts. We have witnessed a waste of over $18 billion worth of “X-rated” body scanners with potentially harmful radiation effects upon people, invasion of privacy, and violations of the Fourth Amendment. But has the federal government addressed any of these concerns? No. Instead they are more concerned with making sure to continue a wasteful, unconstitutional program, unionize it, and funnel money into the coffers of lawmakers in order to re-elect Democrats and Republicans who support this nonsense, while at the same time making those unions very rich.  In the end, it’s the American citizen that gets screwed.

Benghazi -  Here We Go Again!
Beware of the of the "...investigate and vet the details..."  Yes, everyone wants to know the truth while many want to create a "truth" with cleverly arranged details.  Don't let others do your thinking for you. Stick with the WHAT long before you are drawn into the chasm of WHO and WHY.  Some facts that we need to dwell on while not being distracted by multiple variations of stories built around them (rationalizing).  Some facts to keep in mind:
·       Long before the attack, there were multiple concerns for safety and requests to remedy them - indisputable fact

  • Other institutions and countries moved out of Benghazi because it was deemed too dangerous to maintain a presence - indisputable fact
  •  There was never any evidence of a riot protesting anything in the hours leading up to the attack - indisputable fact
  •  Where protests were going on in other areas (20+), there was not evidence of heavy arms and mortars - indisputable fact
  •  When the consulate started taking fire they immediately requested help - indisputable fact
  •  The military knew immediately and attempted to respond as quickly as possible (maybe too late, but the DOD acted properly)- indisputable fact
  • The CIA timeline included all the right information when the talking points were written - indisputable fact
  •  For days/weeks afterwards, Rice, Obama and Clinton (along with others) continued to blame a little know video for a "protest that turned violent" - indisputable fact

Do you need to know anymore? The above happened and the American people were intentionally not told what truly happened.  That "facts" leaked out over weeks supposedly to help Obama in the election.  Who cares why?  Especially now!  The President and his staff intentionally withheld information from the American public; period.  No matter how well anyone spins the so called details (which are on public display as having many variations),  the WHAT does not change.  See the above list.  I ask you, what do YOU think? Whose job is it to KNOW what is going on and make the right decisions for our country? Who knew the above facts and chose to withhold them?  Please, make up your own mind and do not wait to be told what to think while being drug through an investigation of the details.
