Bombshell: Obama.com Owned by Campaign Bundler with Chinese Government Business Ties

In an explosive report set to send shockwaves through official Washington, the Government Accountability Institute (GAI) released a 108-page GAI investigation into the threat of foreign and fraudulent Internet campaign donations in U.S. federal elections (visit campaignfundingrisks.com to download the full report).  Breitbart News obtained an advance copy of the bombshell report which reveals that the Obama.com website is not owned by the president’s campaign but rather by Obama bundler Robert Roche, a U.S. citizen living in Shanghai, China. Roche is the chairman of a Chinese infomercial company, Acorn International, with ties to state-controlled banks that allow it to “gain revenue through credit card transactions with Chinese banks.”

The unusual Obama.com website redirects traffic directly to a donation page on the Obama campaign’s official website, my.barackobama.com, which does not require donors to enter their credit card security code (known as the CVV code), thereby increasing the likelihood of foreign or fraudulent donations. The website is managed by a small web development firm, Wicked Global, in Maine. One of Wicked Global’s employees, Greg Dorr, lists on his LinkedIn page his additional employment with Peace Action Maine and Maine Voices for Palestinian Rights. According to the GAI report, 68 percent of all Internet traffic to Obama.com comes from foreign visitors. Based on the GAI’s report, one would think that there would be an immediate hue-and cry for an investigation, baying by an outraged public for an independent investigator, calls for the president’s resignation. Except for one thing: This news has had zero exposure…we have the expected brick wall of dead silence from the mainstream media. This news appeared nowhere except on The Drudge Report. Even Drudge lists these two articles on the right side of the page, 11^th and 12^th articles down, in small typeface. I expect that by the time this article appears they might have vanished altogether.

Obama Supporter Brags About Illegal Foreign Donations on President’s Own Website- Seeing is believing!

Just last week, a Canadian woman writing on President Obama’s official campaign website claims she made a campaign donation to the Obama campaign during the last election and that she intends to do so this time as well—a clear violation of U.S. election laws, unless an individual is a permanent resident or has achieved permanent resident commuter status: -

 “I had donated to the original campaign and will again,” she writes. “I would also give my vote but alas I am a Canadian… but am a staunch supporter of the Obama-Biden Team.”  The Obama blog has since deleted all comments on the thread, but not before Breitbart News screen captured them (see above).  In another entry, a supporter comforts a non-citizen lamenting the fact they cannot vote or donate directly to Obama. In lieu of contributing to Obama, the counsoler tells the foreigner, they should instead make a donation to the Democratic National Committee—an act that is illegal for non-citizens.

“You may not be able to donate directly to the president’s re-election campaign,” writes the sympathetic woman, “but you CAN donate to the Democratic National Committee—which in turn uses a lot of that money to support the president’s re-election. Please consider donating to the DNC.”  The Obama blog has since deleted all comments in this thread as well. Are these postings the duplicitous work of Romney supporters pretending to be Obama backers? Or just the postings of misinformed Obama supporters unfamiliar with U.S. election laws? The anonymous nature of the Internet makes it hard to say for sure. “That’s the point of our 108-page report,” said GAI President Peter Schweizer in an interview with Breitbart News. “The world of online campaign contributions is still the Wild West. Federal Election Commission laws have not kept up with technology. All that’s needed is a simple pop-up for foreign website visitors that asks individuals abroad to enter their military ID or Passport number. It’s not a perfect solution, but it’s a start.” The GAI report, titled America the Vulnerable: Are Foreign and Fraudulent Online Campaign Contributions Influencing U.S. Elections?, also includes screenshots of the Obama and Romney campaigns posting in Arabic to foreign Facebook accounts that demonstrate how easily donation solicitations to non-citizens—again, a violation of U.S. election laws—can occur with just the click of a mouse. “Bottom line: we are live in an iPod world with jukebox campaign laws,” said Mr. Schweizer. “It’s up to our leaders in Washington to update campaign laws to the dangers that come with our pixelated political reality.”Seeing is Believing!

Reading Rainbow Host: Romney 'Targeting America's Children' By Vowing to Cut PBS  By Elizabeth Harrington

(CNSNews.com) – Former “Reading Rainbow” host LeVar Burton said Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney “targeted” America’s children by vowing to defund the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) during last week’s presidential debate.  "I am personally outraged that any serious contender for the White House would target as part of his campaign the children of America in this fashion,” said Burton, who hosted the PBS children’s program “Reading Rainbow” from 1983 to 2005.  Now the context:

During last Wednesday’s presidential debate, moderator Jim Lehrer, a former anchor for PBS NewsHour, asked Romney where specifically he would cut government spending.

“I'm sorry, Jim, I'm going to stop the subsidy to PBS,” Romney said.  “I'm going to stop other things. I like PBS, I love Big Bird. Actually like you, too. But I'm not going to -- I'm not going to keep on spending money on things to borrow money from China to pay for. That's number one.”

Given the widespread contempt for personal liberty and constitutional values, there might be a way for California politicians to solve their fiscal mess. They can simply stop wealthy people from leaving the state or, alternatively, like some Third World nations, set limits on the amount of assets a resident can take out of the state. Surely this would serve a compelling state purpose -- and not differ in principle from forcing someone to purchase health insurance?

Another Obamacare Tax Now in Effect by Philip Hodges

Only in the sick and twisted mind of the liberal would Obamacare be seen as compassionate for seniors. Liberals can rant all day about how conservatives want people to die in the streets because they don’t want them to have affordable healthcare. They can rave all day about how Obama just wants to provide affordable, even free, healthcare for everybody, including the elderly. Obamacare is turning out to be a giant, festering sore that has been covered up for the past two years by politicians and media, but its pestilential odor has permeated the political air the more the bandages have fallen off.

Yet another Obamacare tax has taken effect on October 1^st. Now there is a penalty for readmitting a patient within 30 days of the patient’s discharge. Who do you think this affects the most? Yep, the elderly and the disabled. Obamacare is really taking care of those seniors, right?

Sesame Street Created 1.47 Jobs with $1M stimulus grant

This grant was brought to you by the letters “A” and “R” — as in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, aka the “stimulus bill.”  Sesame Workshop, the independent nonprofit corporation that produces the popular childrens’ program Sesame Street, received a $1,067,532 stimulus bill grant in August 2010, via the Department of Health and Human Services. The funding was to promote healthy eating according to the federal Recovery.gov website: SW [i.e., Sesame Workshop] will carry out an expansion of its highly successful Healthy Habits for Life initiative, which promotes improved nutrition and increased physical activity, targeting low-income preschool-aged children and their families and care providers. The projected created “1.47″ new jobs, the website reported. How they could calculate this to a hundredth of a percent is anybody’s guess. In any event, that comes out to about $726,000 per job created.  Better yet, another example of an overly large government making stupid decisions with taxpayer money.  It they were truly serious, what could they have done with $1M to assist truly hungry children? Or do they really not care?

Liars and their Compulsive Lying   by Eric Rauch

Paul Krugman—the current pop culture apologist for Keynesian economics—doesn’t like when Mitt Romney tells untruths. However, when confronted with similar “untruths” from President Obama, Krugman was far less indignant in his assessment. In Paul Krugman’s world, Republicans tell “flat-out untruths,” but Democratic presidents only make “minor fudges” of the truth. Mary Matalin, declared the real truth when she told Krugman: “You are hardly credible on calling somebody else a liar.” Indeed. How can a professional economist who time and time again declares deficit spending to be a good and necessary thing ever be taken seriously?  Krugman is not opposed to bending facts to support his twisted view of government irresponsibility. His defense of President Obama’s debate lying as “minor fudges” further highlights that actual truth is inconsequential to Krugman. He cares little if something is factually true or not, only in how it serves his overriding belief in the Keynesian system. As Dr. Gary North points out: “Krugman never met a federal deficit that he didn’t like. He never met a government labor union he didn’t like.”

CBS Reporter Lara Logan Rails Against ‘Major Lie’ of Last Two Years in Candid Speech: Islamists Are Still Strong as Ever by Tiffany Gabbay

Lara Logan, the wartime journalist who endured a horrific ordeal in Egypt last summer when she was beaten and sexually assaulted by a mob of angry Egyptian men during their Arab Spring “celebrations.” Now, Logan has a message for the public: “they” (the Taliban and other Islamic operatives) are as strong as ever." During a recent keynote address at the Better Government Association annual luncheon last Tuesday, Logan delivered what the Chicago Sun Times called “a provocative speech” to some 1,100 movers in government, politics, media, and the legal and corporate arenas. She explained that the Taliban, al Qaeda and its proxies haven’t gone away and are in fact re-energized and coming back in force. Logan also informed the crowd that a “lie” is being propagated by the American government. I chose this subject because, one, I can’t stand, that there is a major lie being propagated…” Logan announced. The lie is that the U.S. military has tamed the Taliban. “There is this narrative coming out of Washington for the last two years,” Logan began. It is driven in part by “Taliban apologists,“ who claim ”they are just the poor moderate, gentler, kinder Taliban.” “It’s such nonsense!” According to the Sun Times, Logan hopes America will “exact revenge and let the world know that the United States will not be attacked on its own soil. That its ambassadors will not be murdered, and that the United States will not stand by and do nothing about it.”

Military Times Poll: Romney bests Obama, By Andrew Tilghman - Staff writer

2-1 Economy, not military issues, tops concerns.  The professional core of the U.S. military overwhelmingly favors Mitt Romney over President Obama in the upcoming election — but not because of any particular military issues, according to a new poll of more than 3,100 active and reserve troops. Respondents rated the economy and the candidates’ character as their most important considerations and all but ignored the war in Afghanistan as an issue of concern. The Military Times Poll is a secure email survey of active-duty, National Guard and reserve members who are subscribers to the Military Times newspapers.

Liberal Racists Attack Black Who Left the Liberal Plantation By Gary DeMar

Slavery is alive and well in America. Slave masters restrict access to the free world outside the liberal plantation by using ridicule, what would be considered “hate speech” if used by conservatives, and even death threats. Racial epithets like “Oreo” — black on the outside but white on the inside — are commonplace. A generous use of the N-word is also used. The latest liberal attack on someone who has left the liberal plantation and got on the Underground Railroad happened to actress Stacey Dash. Dash is known for playing Dee (Dionne), the best friend of Alicia Silverstone’s character “Cher” in the film Clueless (1995). Dash made the bold move of supporting Mitt Romney over Barack Obama in this November’s election. For this she was vilified. Race was the issue. One person tweeted that she should just “kill herself.” If you want to know the real reason liberals are attacking Stacey Dash,  it’s because they’re stuck with Whoopie Goldberg.

I wonder how their debates went. “Well Maximus, I disagree, I think we need to pass out more bread and increase the number of lions at the games!” “No, no Commodus, we need to expand our forces even further in order to control more of the world!” “I have it! Perhaps we can do both if we simply trim the amount of gold in the coins.” “Excellent, then we are agreed!”  How do countries/empires fall? Seems like they are either invaded, over-run, and conquered or taken down by their own people. There is another way – their economy collapses first, and then they are invaded or taken down by their own people.

Romney’s Strong Debate Performance Erases Obama’s Lead

Mitt Romney no longer trails Barack Obama in the Pew Research Center’s presidential election polling. By about three-to-one, voters say Romney did a better job than Obama in the Oct. 3 debate, and the Republican is now better regarded on most personal dimensions and on most issues than he was in September. Romney is seen as the candidate who has new ideas and is viewed as better able than Obama to improve the jobs situation and reduce the budget deficit. Fully 66% of registered voters say Romney did the better job in last Wednesday’s debate, compared with just 20% who say Obama did better. A majority (64%) of voters who watched the debate describe it as mostly informative; just 26% say it was mostly confusing. In turn, Romney has drawn even with Obama in the presidential race among registered voters (46% to 46%) after trailing by nine points (42% to 51%) in September. Among likely voters, Romney holds a slight 49% to 45% edge over Obama [versus other polls of "registered voters"]. He trailed by eight points among likely voters last month.
