The Liberal Con of America Explained!

The Liberal Con of America Explained!

Liberals are adept at twisting the truth to fit their political agenda and ignoring facts that do not support that agenda. In political campaign after campaign, liberals cast themselves in the image of the party of compassion. They deceitfully use envy to promulgate class warfare in the name of fairness. Further, aided and abetted by left-leaning journalists and media outlets, liberals falsely impute negative concepts such as “corporate greed,” “religious intolerance,” “war mongering,” and “environmental pollution” to conservatives and then demand that they defend these topics. Too often, conservatives allow liberals to put them on the defensive in this way. Ironically, solutions that liberals propose to social problems in America are anything but vote getting solutions to symptoms, not problem elimination.

Their never-ending attempts at social engineering by government fiat not only fail to solve
America's social and economic problems, they prolong and perpetuate them. For example, consider the left’s so-called war on poverty—a war the government has been losing since the Lyndon Johnson administration. The net result of the government’s various anti-poverty programs is that they have not only failed to end poverty, they have actually increased it and created a permanent under-class of people living in financial slavery to government entitlement programs. The left’s misnamed “antipoverty programs” have achieved little other than creating bloated bureaucracies in the federal and state governments that American taxpayers are expected to finance at ever increasing levels.

The time has come to set the record straight and to stop allowing liberals to place conservatives on the defensive. For too long liberals have caused problems with their left wing policies and then deceitfully blamed the problems on conservatives. This is the big lie concept in politics, a strategy that can be effective when the press and media are on your side. But truth has a way of eventually rising to the surface. Unfortunately, liberals have tipped the scales so far in the wrong direction that America cannot afford to sit back and wait for truth to eventually win out. Conservatives need to facilitate the process. It is time for conservatives to stand up and speak out—to require liberals to accept the con and Demolishing sequences of their left wing beliefs and policies.

Conservatives must be prepared to enact real and lasting solutions to the problems facing the American people notwithstanding the political posturing, self-serving rhetoric, and overblown hyperbole of the left.

Conservative solutions to America’s most pressing problems must be explained in plain, unadorned language. It must be communicated in a way to help people understand conservative positions, defend those positions, and refute the big lies of liberals on the following issues:
• Reducing poverty and homelessness without taxes
• Improving education and cutting costs
• Improving healthcare and saving money
• Ending racism and giving everyone a chance to achieve the American dream
• Ending war for good
• Debunking the fallacy of corporate greed
• Supporting gun ownership
• Ending abortion and same-sex marriage
• Freedom of religion, not freedom from religion
• Harvesting natural resources and protecting the environment
• Debunking the claim that “Jesus was a Liberal”

Thinking Americans who want a peaceful and prosperous nation must understand the above. But knowing the Liberal Con is not enough. Americans need to stand up and speak out for our country. As the Occupy Wall Street protest phenomenon has shown, too many Americans who have been pampered by the fruits of a free-market economy now, ironically, think socialism is a superior system. The battle against left wing thinking has two elements:
1)     Speaking out against left wing policies promulgated by liberals who are determined to transform our country into the United Socialist States of America, and

2)     Educating ignorant, indoctrinated Americans who are susceptible to deceitful liberals who are wolves in sheep’s clothing.

20th Amendment Clears the Air!

20th Amendment Clears the Air!

For those claiming some sleight of hand may land Obama for another term, please read your Constitution!

Section 3 of the 20th Amendment:
If, at the time fixed for the beginning of the term of the President, the President elect shall have died, the Vice President elect shall become President. Obamacare Insurer Bailouts

Repeal and Replace Obamacare now!

Obamacare Insurer Bailouts: In an effort to win the support of health insurance companies during the debate over Obamacare, three “risk mitigation” provisions, also known as bailouts, were written into the bill to compensate health insurance companies for insuring high-cost consumers. These three bailouts include risk corridors, reinsurance, and cost-sharing subsidies.

The reinsurance provision, in particular, is the subject of the latest controversy surrounding Obamacare. As written, the reinsurance provision requires the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to collect, from 2014-16, $25 billion in “assessments” or taxes on employer-provided health-insurance plans and:

1.)    Reimburse the U.S. Treasury, i.e. taxpayers $5 billion for operating costs and then
2.)    Bail out health insurance companies. These assessments should be repealed along with the rest of Obamacare, but so long as they are current law, the resulting revenue should not be used to bail out insurance companies.

Instead of following the law, HHS illegally prioritized health insurance companies over taxpayers. This year, health insurance companies are set to receive $15.7 billion in bailouts while taxpayers will only receive $500 million of the $4 billion they are currently owed. Even the Congressional Research Service (CRS) acknowledges this action as a clear violation of law.

In an effort to stop the HHS from continuing to break the law, Senator Ben Sasse (R-NE) and Representative Mark Walker (R-NC) introduced the Taxpayers Before Insurers Act (S. 2803 and H.R. 5904). If passed, this bill would “penalize HHS for illegally prioritizing big insurance companies ahead of taxpayers through the Affordable Care Act’s reinsurance program” by cutting “50 percent of HHS’s general department management fund unless the Secretary of HHS pays the full amount taxpayers are owed.

Obamacare has increased insurance premiums, raised taxes, restricted choice, and made hardworking Americans lose their doctors and health care plans, yet the Obama administration is dedicated to bailing out insurance companies. Obamacare must be fully repealed, but in the meantime, Congress should shut down the current avenues to bail out the insurance companies.

Trumps Triumph

Trumps Triumph

The Republican National Convention came to a close on Thursday night during a dramatic week marred by controversy.  GOP nominee Donald Trump’s critics have seized on the unrest to paint a picture of an amateur campaign struggling to unite a divided party.
But Trump’s supporters are confident they’re leaving Cleveland in better shape than when they arrived.
“The bottom line is, there is no question we have more unity, more unanimity of thought, more enjoyment, more camaraderie, and the progression is peaking perfectly,” said Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin. "If I had to imagine what he's thinking and wanted, he got pretty much everything he wanted."

Here is what created a triumph contrary to the paid consultants and pundits assurance of a riotous spectacle.

The Finale Night

The final night of the convention was drama-free and sent the party off on a high note.

Influential Christian leader Tony Perkins, the president of the Family Research Council, announced his endorsement for Trump. Perkins’s support could go a long way in helping the nominee rally the social conservatives who have remained on the sidelines.

The Trump campaign put on a display of diversity with a fiery performance from black South Carolina pastor Mark Burns, gay Silicon Valley entrepreneur Peter Thiel, Rep. Marsha Blackburn(R-Tenn.), Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin, and Dr. Lisa Shin, who is Korean.

Ivanka Trump set her father up with a string of personal stories about him.  Trump followed with a powerful speech about the harsh realities the U.S. must face and having a leader that can accomplish the tasks. This electrified the crowd.

The vice president

Mike Pence’s big moment was overshadowed by the Cruz snub. But conservatives cheered Pence’s performance, which put to rest any fears he would be overwhelmed by the Trump persona. Pence was confident, relaxed and humble. He forcefully made the case for a Trump presidency and pointedly contrasting him to his rival Hillary Clinton.

He has an understated demeanor befitting of a Midwest governor, the respect of the Republican establishment in Washington, and credibility among social conservatives. Republicans see a winner.

The Cruz fiasco

Trump offered Cruz, one of his former primary rivals, a prime-time spot on stage even though the Texas senator would be the only convention speaker who hasn’t endorsed the nominee.

Cruz was given a chance to follow his other fellow contenders (except Kasich) to endorse the Republican Nominee. However, he created a huge distraction that will hurt him in the future. It is also true that Cruz was booed off the stage by convention-goers who were furious that he had the gall to slight their nominee at his own convention.

Trump supporters believe Cruz was exposed for having put political ambition ahead of party unity and say it will benefit their candidate in the long run. “Honestly what Ted Cruz did last night in a weird way it kind of unified people behind Trump in a way they hadn't before," said Georgia delegate Buzz Brockway, who initially supported Marco Rubio's bid. "There was some sympathy for him."

Organizational strength

Trump will be outspent and outmanned by Clinton. However, it will not be about the money in this election. In the internet age, people get their own news from their trusted sources. The Hillary machine cannot control that. Expect the Media to do their part though.

Last week they tested the joint whip operations, getting Trump’s positions codified into the party’s platform and striking down efforts to strip the national party of control over the primary process. This week the whip operations flew into overdrive, muscling through a rules package over the objection of several factions of insurgent candidates. The RNC and Trump campaign convinced delegates from a handful of states to back away from petitions that could have resulted in trouble on the convention floor. And “The Never Trump”  movement was put down with only a whimper as the RNC and Trump campaign leaned hard on the rebels and those who considered joining them.

The end result was that on Tuesday night, in perhaps the greatest showing of unity the party displayed throughout the convention, the delegates overwhelmingly nominated Trump as their nominee with essentially no objection from the floor.

The expected protests fizzled instead of exploding

Republicans and the media arrived in Cleveland bracing for the worst. Many of Trump’s events have attracted masses of protesters and have been marred by incidents of violence. Trump is fashioning himself as the “law and order” candidate, so the last thing the campaign needed would have been screaming headlines about arrests or clashes between protesters and the police. There were ultimately a few tense moments but nothing more.

Evolutions Misguided Children

THE PITCH FOR NOAH’S ARK

Evolutions misguided children

Many geologists claim that Noah could not possibly have built the ark in the manner described in Genesis. They argue that pitch could not have been used to cover the ark and make it waterproof. Pitch, they claim, is derived from oil or coal, and if coal did not form until during the time of Noah’s Flood, he could not possibly have covered the ark with pitch.

For those who are not geologists, pitch is a black glue-like substance left behind when coal tar is heated or distilled. It belongs to the same family of substances as asphalt or bitumen. Today, it is largely produced by heating coal. Most modern geologists know of no other source for it. But coal tar and petroleum are not the only source for pitch. Anyone who takes the time to consult a reasonable dictionary of geology will find that pitch can be extracted by distilling or heating wood. In fact, prior to the rise of the petroleum and coal industries, this was exactly how pitch was made.

For at least one thousand years, the pitch-making industry in Europe flourished. It was the pitch from this industry which assisted in the construction of those great wooden sailing ships which figured so prominently in European history. Pitch making was a skilled trade, and many European surnames bear testimony to that fact today. In Polish, the word for pitch or tar is ‘smola’. Any Polish telephone directory displays names such as Smola, Smolander, Smolen, Smolenski and Smolarz. These surnames simply mean ‘the man who makes pitch’.

The GOP Convention Rules Committee; Due Process?

The GOP Convention Rules Committee; Due Process?

The news media is reporting a so called dust up at the beginning of the GOP Convention. For the uninformed it sounds as though it was serious. It was not. It was a last gasp publicity stunt by the #nevertrump group of political elites. Here is how the process works:

·       The Rules Committee is responsible for crafting the official rules of the Republican Party, including the rules that govern the Republican National Convention. It is different from the RNC Standing Committee on Rules, which can be read about here

·       The Rules Committee consists of 112 members with one male delegate and one female delegate from each state, territory, and Washington, D.C. They are elected at state conventions.

·       The committee met for a marathon session on July 14, 2016, and passed several significant rules changes—including clarifications on the issue of binding and changes to Rule 40. Read more about the July 14 meeting here. The 2016 rules package was approved on the convention floor on July, 18, 2016, which can be read about here.

The Rules Committee is responsible for crafting the official rules of the Republican Party, including the rules that govern the Republican National Convention. It is different from the RNC Standing Committee on Rules, which can be read about here.

According to the Counsel to the Convention Rules Committee here are the essential facts:
·       The rules committee met for a marathon session starting at 8 a.m. and adjourning at midnight with the final vote on all the rules.
·       Of the 112 delegates there were 25 that offered up changes to the standard (historical rules) and not all of these were the “nevertrump” people.
·       Each rule (and suggested changes) were debated and voted on in small blocks for efficiency.

·       At the end of the night, the official rules were complete with the caveat that any member or group of members can file a minority report before presenting the rules to the whole convention. None were written or communicated.

Clinton not fit to run for president of our country

Clinton not fit to run for president of our country

Cathy Young, West Chester Township, Ohio

I am glad to have this opportunity to express my disdain as to what happened Tuesday (“FBI: Email ‘careless’ but not criminal” July 6). As I listened to the FBI director list all of the illegal acts Hillary Clinton caused with her emails and the fact they we would never know how many lives were lost because of them, I was sure she would be charged. People who have done far less have gone to jail.

This was not carelessness on her part. It was reckless and self-serving. She is a very self-centered person with her own interest at heart. We, the American people, were hosed again.

It was very apparent when FBI Director James Comey bowed his head and walked off the stage that he knew he didn’t follow through with his job and, just like Benghazi, we were lied to again. We all should have known what was going to happen – after the president had a meeting with our attorney general before he endorsed Clinton for president and Slick Willie hung around the airport so he could accidentally have a meeting with the attorney general – that the cover-up was on.

Everyone I have talked to feels as I do – that she is not fit to run for president of our wonderful country. Anyone who votes for her cannot care about our fine young men and women in the military, who died because our enemies knew our plans and diffidently knows about our national security. That’s very evident regarding all the terrorist attacks going on.
God bless America. Or should I say God help America?
